What I mean is, the simple things about sleds that everyone always seems to change no matter what ... More like, "Fix our pet peeves" ... I am not meaning "Well I wish they'd build a 400 horsepower factory turbo" kind of nonsense, I mean stuff that could be and should be done ..
here's my list
1.) Cables long enough to add up to a 8" riser over stock .... EARTH TO MFG's! Not everyone who rides a snowmobile is 5'8" or under! Please make throttle, brake, electric lines long enough so that should one choose they can put a riser on to fit their body height, then DONT SHORT OUT ON A ****TY STEERING POST.
2.) Comfortable Seats ... Yes, riding in the mountains is best off the seat, but let's face it, it's still nice to have a comfortable well-padded seat to sit on. Or at least have one as an available option
3.) Vents. Who does not put additional vents on their sleds? Why not add more from the factory and work it into the paint/decal scheme to keep the sled cool?
4.) An MFD with an altimeter on it. I know Cat does this, maybe it's just Polaris that doesn't but I know I wish my sled had one.
5.) Regarding suspension: I know that with the advent of air shocks, it's easy to set a shock up for heavy rider, but I still wish they would pay more attention to building suspensions that were tuned, if possible, for a greater range of rider weights. Not everyone weighs 150 pounds.
