I live in Durango and if you are not out at least once by halloween something is wrong. Between silverton and wolf creek there is always early season snow
ummm, cough, did I say sept? 22?
It's not looking good!! Not gonna count it completely out, but wow, we've only had two snowy mornings so far, poop.

Hey guys let's get a call list together who ever gets enough snow to ride call or pm the others with a time to meet for the first ride of the year. And not talking about riding down the road lol. Thats considered a cruise not a ride. lol
Or we can set up a ride date.
Just for the record I say the first ride will be October 2-3rd. I think we will have a decent snow around that time. If the moister stays where it is. So who ever gets snow first call me. lol I will be glad to meet you. 479-426-4145

? wow you must like to buy parts? not saying you may be wrong.. if we do get to get off the road by then it will be a GREAT YEAR!!!!!I can hope that we get a big snow the first of October. We got one a few years ago. It was like 3 feet in denver it the first two weeks of October.

Looks like there will be some snow up high tonight... So you guys near the high spots(VP, RE, etc..) better keep us updated.. I'm ready to take a drive to get to some early snow!
I got snowed on during the day today while I was downhilling, We were riding from near Echo mtn. down to Idaho Springs, and each time we shuttled to the top we got snowed on. Snow line was at about 10,600, we were riding from 11,100 to 7,600 so we went in & out of it a few times.
It hailed about 1/2 in also a bit after lunch on the north side of town.
Looks like it's still snowing up high from my house.
Who's ready for a ride? There's gonna be at LEAST 3 inches on top of all the rocks above my house, bring some spare A arms & lets go hit it!!!

it snowed while we were elk hunting today.. dime size flakes for about 2 hours but too warm to STICK. my buuddy and i called in a very big 6x6 and my buddy was closer so he shot that "MONSTER" WITH A BOW!!!!! "anyone can shoot a gun"!!

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see it on the mountains. I know it is up high above 9500 I believe is what the weather man said. But I can take a drive lol.

It was snowing at my house today...still nothing sticking below about 12K though... I'm at 8K... Anyone driving over VP this week? Wondering what it looks like...

So would 6-16's Inches be enough to consider it a ride?
Anyone on the front range doing anything Thursday morning early like around 6 AM?
We are suppose to get 6-16" of snow from 6500 feet and up. So I think I might take a drive with the sled in tow. Head out CR 14 west toward Gould. Cameron pass is just above 10k feet. There should be snow. If there is enough who ever said the 22 well you will be the closest. Anyone wanna go? I have a two place open trailer?

I've been looking at different sites & can't find one that gives that kind of totals.
Best site I know of for snow is www.snowforecast.com, just find a nearby resort.
By the way 22nd was me, I could go ride right now, but I'm too lazy & I've got to go to Idaho this weekend to get some sled decks so this weekend is out for me.

Oh sry I was listening to the National weather Service forcast on my 2 way motorola walkabout.
There is a winter storm warning from 12 midnight to tomorrow sometime.
For the front range from 6500 feet and up. Accumulation from 6 to 16"'s. So if I head out CR 14 on the way to Gould I should hit it smack dab in the middle somewhere.

Yeah, saw the same forecast from loveland (a facebook post, yeah I'm on facebook, I'm gay.) so I knew you didn't just make it up but I couldn't find it anywhere.
