15 Nov 08 was my first ride (Vail Pass) last year.... hadn't closed down shrine pass road yet, so we were still passing cars there
Found spots with knee-deep snow, but most of it was 6-8". It was enough to scratch the itch

October 23rd. That's my guess. We usually get a big storm with lots of powder up on Vail Pass. There might be 2 feet of powder but there is nothing below but rocks and hippies.

Good luck! I'll PM you some info on spots I had luck in around here. Bow Hunting is a blast when you can get in on them before they turn to spooky ghosts. Now, with muzzle loader that's about 2 weeks. Hit it hard and don't worry about the pack out!

Sept. 22nd?! I MIGHT have 1/2 of my sled projects done by then. But then again I've got the rippin CF in the garage too. I'M IN!
