Was going to purchase a SuperQ exhaust can based on what I've heard of good quality, fit & finish, nice sound-not too loud, and negligible performance loss. However, Sled Solutions who sells them said it was only a 7.25lb weight loss. Is this correct?

I saw a previous post someone said the stock 2010 M8/XF8 can was 23lbs 7oz., so who has actually weighed a superQ for 2010. Are they really 16lbs? Doesnt seem like much weight loss for $250 IMO.

I seem to believe the can weighs 7.25lbs, giving me a 16lb reduction? What are you guys seeing?

id buy it, there nice anx loud aand save some weight, there worth the money to get the suitcase out of there,

Thanks, but that didnt answer my question. I want to know who has actually weighed a SuperQ for the 2010 800?

Skinz website says a Super Q saves 13 lbs. on my M1000. Should be the same for a 2010 M8, since they use basically the same can. Go to Skinz website and open the PDF with part numbers. It will tell how much weight it saves.

their site says -16lbs and I believe all of that if not more, sorry I didn't way mine when I put it on, I have a black one I'll sell ya that less than 200 miles on it

SKINZ Weight

I installed a Ultra Q on my new M8 this year. I weighted both stock and new cans. Saved 16lbs and that is a conservative figure as my scale was not the best so I aired on the side of less weight savings. I know the Super and Ultra Q cans are about the same weight. And yes they are different than the M1000 can. The new Ultra Q and Super Q cans are built different inside than the 1000 can. And yes, mine has worked awesome. It is a little louder than stock but has a nice deep throaty sound. The Super Q is more noticably noisy. Not my preference. I hope this helps ya all making a decision. I was a bit leary to mess with the new motor and can but it has worked out real well. These new motors do not like a low clutch engagement. However, the skinz can has worked well and the clutching issues are for a seperate thread.:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-hap

After speaking with Skinz rep/engineer directly (Paynesville,MN), he said the the 1000 can and new 800H.O. are in fact the same identical can and can be used interchangably. They just created/reserved two different part#'s intially in case they were different. Next year there will only be one part # available. So the SQ-1111C (2010 800's) and the SQ-1107C (07+1000's) are the exact same can. They both flow exactly the same as the factory can's and the same between eachother. As pointed out in several other threads they are even the same part# from Cat.

I wish I would of not tried to save $50, and ordered the UltraQ. The SuperQ is WAYYYY loud in my opinion. Can hear it plain as day from over 3/4 mile away across the lake as if were 100yds away.
