what holds you back? money or ballzz

For me a its mostly a money thing. Next come my ballz... some days they're bigger than others and I try more things. Then comes the all important common sense. If I got the ballz that day and I think I can make it I'll do it. Just my .02

sometimes in life, things happen to us for no reason or explanation. When that day happened, nothing mattered anymore. That was the day I let go and started really riding...

Nothing like a good 3-4 second free fall to put your life back into persepective... :face-icon-small-sho

calculated risks... :o

diffenently money for me... i have way too many other addictions and its not crack. i have lots of other hobbies and they arent cheap (quadding,making the dmax faster,holidaying,boating and so on)

for now ill just stay with my stocker, with the poor mans turbo (NOS) and dealing with it

Don't like to trash my $h!t
No one's payin me to get hurt
Sleddings fun but I don't feel like dying

Lots of fun to be had without getting carried away....I'm not out to impress anyone

NAILED IT!!!!! :beer;

I've got nothing to prove to anyone. I just love the outdoors with family and friends. Nothing Screws up my day faster than putting myself somewhere I just don't need to be just for the sake of EGO ENHANCEMENT which results in damage to my sled (Don't like that....I'm not sponshured) or someone getting hurt 40 miles from the truck. I'm loving my life too much right now to end it early. ;)

for me it's lack of money, and time!

I dropped insurance on my sled this year due to lack of riding it, so that held me back a lot too.

then there is lack of power, stock M8 doesn't get me into too much trouble lol

so ya, if money(and time) were no object I'd be ripping a lot harder

Already had an accident a week and a half ago and waiting for my parts to get it fixed up. Hoods are expensive as crap, same w/windshields, handlebars, etc.

Post #5k right here! :cool::beer;

I think money is definately a factor for me, as college doesnt make a lot of money! I need my sled ot be able to ride every weekend without big $$ parts replacements. I dont mind if my sh!t looks a little beat up, I hit trees, i roll my sled.

If the snow is soft I will try a lot, cuz you can roll a LONG ways in the soft stuff without getting hurt. On the hardpack, i keep things pretty calm, i have done all the damage besides a small rip in a vent in 1 day when the snow was setup. you just cant control the sled quite the same!!

My balls definately limit what I do, but man, the thrill of throwing down a good line really makes me try more. I try to stick to small and technical, this way things seem to stay less massive as far as damage, hitting things slow doesnt hurt( you or your sled).

but what can i say, putting a turbo on this summer... i like to go fast and climb big shttt!!!

mostly the money to rebuild,cant afford a new belt after this build never mind a major screw up. Plus I find with some of these revy chutes I go from having BALLZ TO HAVING A DRIPPY VAGGGG>:eek:

What holds me back? Being 48 yrs old and resposibilities.I wish they had sleds like my new 09 D800 back when I was 20.They had decent dirtbikes back then but not mountain sleds.Yes my D800 is way more capable than me:(

just curious...being in school i find im really holding myself back this season...would like to hit alot of stuff but have to stop myself.

what about you guys?

what stops you from doing crazy stuff?

wrecking your sled or just dont have the guts haha

Ballz! They drag in the snow and slow me down.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Depends on the situation. When it comes to jumping stuff, if there is a landing, I'll try it, but if it is something with no landing I'm out. I ride a short track so when we were out west I obviously didn't outclimb anybody, but I feel I'm a rider that can hold my own on a sled. It depends too much on the situation, pretty much everything I do when I ride is calculated. But look at me now, broke an a-arm mount out of the bulkhead when I was jumping out west, and now I don't have the money to fix it this season so the sled sits.

X2!

I would have to say, with me, it's about a 50/50 mix of money and balls. Probably more money than balls. I don't have a sponsor for my sled (any takers? :D), so if I break it, I gotta deal with it! If I jack myself up and can't work I'm screeeeeeeeewed! Sitting at home recovering doesn't get the bills paid. It pisses me off to blow a belt, let alone anything severe like rolling down the mountain or hitting a tree. Now, on to the balls end of it. Like a few have said on here, it's probably a common sense thing more than balls. If I look at something, and don't feel comfortable hitting it, then I don't. Plain and Simple. If the group I'm riding with wants to call me a pu$$y, then I guess I'm a pu$$y, but at the end of the day if my chit is in one piece and I had a good time then that's all that matters.
