what gearing are you running in your pro's?

stock is 20/42...whats your weight and witch track length do you have... i have a 163 about 250 and i am gearing down to 19/43

I tried the 19/42, 19/43 and actually went back to the 20/42 stock deal....just depends what you like...really on the pro there is less "grunt" difference than my other sleds gearing down...usually run 19/42 in the dragon and mod sled.

I will say however that the MTX weights made a good difference in the low to mid grunt.

Tested All.Pro 163" 2000 feet n up.
20/42 stock
19/42 improved
19/43 best for me.
19/45 good in superdeep but hard to get the secondary to work properly.
And i use 11- series or MTX and very happy with performance.
If you wanna throw in some coin go with TIED you never go back..:boxing:

Can you use the stock chain with the 19/42 or 19/43? would gearing down help with clutch temps. thanks in advance

I have run 18-43 in all my Dragons and had real good luck with shifting and good belt wear. 18-43 works out to be 2.38 ratio and I'm going to run 19-44 for a 2.31 ratio. I will have to put a longer chain in also but for boon-docking in MT. that ratio seems to work the best. New 2012 pro retro 163. Yes your stock chain will work with either combo, but I would lean towards 19-43.

Am looking to order my gears on Monday...never changed them before...is it a o-ring or gasket on the cover? and do i need to go ahead and order a new one of those also?

I've always liked the 19/43 combo. Keeps belt heat to a minimum and has a great bottom end without falling on it's face up top. I've got a 42 and 43 for sale in the swap meet section if anyone's interested.

there is an o-ring on the jackshaft. after you pop your rotor off, there is a bushing on the shaft that looks like it pushes straight into the cover. That bushing slides off, it is tight but you can pry it off (it rides over the top of the o-ring). then you can see the recess that the o-ring is in, I just use a small hook and get under it and roll it off. then you can remove your chaincase cover. I needed to push down on the bodywork a little to break the cover loose. Just take your time with all this, dont force anything... When I pulled my '12 Assault's chaincase apart everything was super tight. I also had to create a small puller for the bottom gear because it would not budge off the drive shaft.
