What do you guys think of this? Turbo'd exciter

Favorite

That exciter is probably my favorite sled all time. Making one that still keeps up nowadays is pretty awesome. good work.

Thanks guys, I was kinda going for a "383 style" result and while I don't think it would hang with the 383 is sure looks like it'll hang with some of the newer stock sleds. I'll be taking it to guardsmans this weekend for some further testing and tuning.

I still have a lot to do, the seat needs to be slimmed down a bit, I want to go to a larger track (even though floatation is incredible right now), lots of clutch work, and I have to gear it higher....blah, blah, blah, etc, etc... the list goes on.

That's the ugliest piece of crap I've ever seen....I like it!

P.S. Are those billet aluminum handlebar risers painted with black and rust-colored paint? :)

Coupe Of Pics of EXX

Glad to hear you got it going. Always thought that would be one hell of a sleeper. If I remember right, Packard said taht turbo would not push enough air for a 600. Something just doesn't sound right. Oh and a couple of pics of my EXXXX!

I rode a modified 570 Exciter for many years. Totally a n/a deal with bored Mikunis and PSI low RPM twins. Has VMax 600 struts, Polaris XTRA 10 skid and 1 1/2 X 136 Doo track.

I think First Choice Turbo was Jim Chekahla (sp?) from www.DynoTechResearch.com/ I believe he still has a website and bet he has a wealth of info about the turboed 570.

ex ideas

I have a 93 exciter SX, came factory with flat slides and a pipe. Runs great Recently put a 136 1.5" on it for my kid to learn on it really does good unitil the powder gets deep. When the powder gets deep it seems like too much snow comes over the hood, where the intake sucks from and it plugs. Then once it slows down, seems like the exhaust gets pluged. any ideas.

I haven't had that powder problem. I closed the horizontal vent on the front and added the arctic cat mountain skis. They seem to keep it on the top. Actually, this is one heck of a powder sled. The 144 and the light weight of the sled really combines to make it a blast in the powder and it almost never gets stuck.

ExciterMax

Here's my 92 Exciter 600 max. 94 600 ported polished, head machined, slp twins, 136x2 camo, tapered tunnel, and the coolest part is the Pogo Stick front end!
