What did you learn this sledding year?

well i meant last season, can you imporve your skills in the summer?

Oh ya, start doin sidehills on the shop floor and learn how to switch feet w/o puttin both feet back on the boards. 10min later sweaty as h*ll and hey now your lossin weight so your lighter. :face-icon-small-hap

(Knowing where my seat is w/o looking (height wise) actually helped a lot. Can actually do some half arse Burandt moves now.)

I learned that I'm sick of fighting the battle to keep our riding areas open, but that I'm going to keep up the good fight until the only option left is civil-disobedience.

I learned, really learned, how to get myself unstuck!! Which means that I'm more likely now to pick my own lines and venture off by myself when everyone is playing. :face-icon-small-ton This way more fun than sitting and watching, but also way more exhausting! :face-icon-small-win

Powdercurl! Improved sidehilling!

And finally - I should have sold that Escape TWO years ago!!!

What I learned

I learned that the throttle can be your best friend in deep snow and my switchback doesn't keep up with my friends mountain cat. I also learned that if friends want to do stupid things I DON'T have to follow.

I learned if you take your old broken scratchers and mount them on each ski of your Dragon 163, your rails and temps will stay cool on spring snow.

I learned rocks are very hard and can do some damage to belly pan.

Then I learned that a skid plate is a good investment.

Biggest learning/improvements for me was going to Dan Adams Next Level Clinic and learning how to ride more precise and not sloppy. Keep your eyes looking foward not down at the bars when you sidehill. I also learned that maintaining two sleds is a killer on money.

I learned that the trees are where the fun is... Trying to ride more like Burandt!!

Don't go for a good looking cornice at top speed, until you investigate it at half speed. As I flew through the air looking behind me:face-icon-small-sho at my sled that was at a dead stop (it was a wall of ice covered by light snow), I swore I would never do that again! Since it was my last ride of the year, I haven't had a chance to make that mistake again.

Army, where is this Dan Adams place?

Chaos

I learned that Cooke City is my favorite place in the world! The sledding and scenery is can't be described in words.
