What are you guys pulling your sleds/trailers with?

I had a 2006 WRX Wagon, and it did a pretty decent job of pulling my 2 up trailer with both sleds around town but not something I'd want to take a on a cross country trip while towing 2 sleds. Well, unfortunately the subi is no longer with me and I'm trying to decide on a new/user car/truck..

Normally I have a good idea of what I want but I was pretty content with my subi and am now at a loss.. I'd go with another subi, but I have a few goals in mind that make it not fit the picture

Under 15k (I want to be able to pay it out pretty quickly..)
Diesel is a + but not necessary.
4x4 or AWD is a must
ability to tow my 2up trailer w/sleds is a must (long distances is a +)
ability to tow my 69 camaro is a plus.
non-towing MPG needs to be in the "20" range.

It will be my daily driver, so parking and normal driving comfort ect needs to be thought of..

To give you an idea of what I'm looking at..

1999-2001 F250s 4x4 Diesel Extended Cabs, and the equivalent chevy/dodge.
I've thought about going back with another Z71 (1/2 ton I had a 99 I was happy with before I got the subi)

want to avoid, 6.0lTD, 4.6l fords, and crew cab long beds..
I found a killer deal on a 2000 3500 (1 ton) Chevy 4x4 Crew Cab long bed TD.. but I'm not to keen on a 21' long truck. I think I may need to go to the docks and get parking permit it..

With that said, what do you have, what do you recommend.

(oops meant to post this in http://www.snowest.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=84 if a mod could move it that would be great)

A big truck!!

I'll second that. I'm sure it's not just a Wyoming thing. There's nothing like a big , gas guzzeling, 4x4, long bed truck. it Does not matter what kind it is.

i can say without a doubt there will be no V10 in my future. I'm all for a truck but 10mpg.. when not towing lol.. i don't think that's such a good idea.

I have an 06 chevy 1500 with the 5.3L motor. I get around 17 mpg when not towing. Have a 7500 lbs tow rating. I have towed an open deck four place with big sleds on. It did ok with the trailer brakes. Not even an option without trailer brakes though. I would love to have a bigger truck but just don't tow enough at this point to justify it. When my 2 boys get older then I will have to.

I have a '99 Ram 1500, 5.9L V8 4x4.

Can pull two fat horses, much more weight than that and I'd get a bigger truck. No problems pullin a sled trailer, although I usually don't. Not a big difference in MPG between light and loaded. If you don't plan on pulling a 4-place enclosed trailer that's fully loaded, I don't think you really need much more than a 1/2ton.

08 f250 crew cab long box v10 27ft enclosed. oh and 13 inch monitor dvd player for the back seat :D

I have a 2007 chevy half ton i have a cold air intake and exhaust, I pull a three place enclosed trailer a triton three sleds in it I get 10 to 10.5 on trips . Plenty of horse power to me. Went on a trip last year were father inlaw has a dodge desiel he averaged 11.5 on same trip he was pulling 4 sleds.
