well one rider tells his side of the story BC

My thoughts and prayers are with all involved. I don't think anyone would really know what they would do until they are put in that exact position. I sure could not say what I would do.

:( God bless, tough decision but it was the RIGHT decision! My thoughts and prayers have been with you guys since I heard about this.....

So sad to hear....

Wow that is truly heart breaking!!! They would have been dead to if they didnt have the SPOT. I heard the searchers were on the way up and found them walking out freezing. RIP boys!

tough deal

you will never know how it is unless you are there

i hope the survivors find peace

been firsthand on two deaths

somethings you never forget.....ever

Wow.... I'm completely speechless.....:brokenheart::brokenheart:

Those guys are hero's for sure.

No doubt they made the toughest choice in their life and definitely the right one.

Prayers to the families and friends of the fallen riders.

RIP

AJ

I watched this on the news earlier today and have been sick to my stomach all day since. I just cannot imagine.

My condolences to the town of Sparwood.

One of my good riding buddies went missing on Monday trying to recover his sled and lucky enough search and rescue located them the next morning. They got down over a hill and could not get out. Five of them huddled together and spent the night. They were lucky. You just never know.

wow i cant imagine what that would be like. its great that he was able to save his 2 friends but that would truely be a life changing event. i cant fathom what it would be like, for the familes and the friends of those that were lost my deepest condolences. i know this has changed my views on avy's.
today when riding i did not even want to climb any hills, even little mole hills. the though it just stuck in the back of my head. the day after i i heard of the avy there i went out and bought a avy beacon. not only for myself but in the event that sombody else gets burried.

i think just about every snowmobiler has had a wake up call after this, i hope this doesnt happen to any one else and it is truely unfortunate that it did have to happen.
