Weighed the SLP pipe today

I see SSI is making one and claiming 3-5hp? Assuming SLP would have tested with making their own vs stock and didn't see improvement?

I would agree. Another thing nice with SLP is you change your pipe out allowing you to keep the old stock pipe. SSI does a pipe modification to the stock pipe.

I wonder if you can buy just the SLP pipe and put the can of your choice on it, there is lighter weight cans out there. Supposedly the pipe will match the stock can so I don't see why you couldn't mix and match.

Sledmax, was wondering the same thing. Had good luck on my '15 with a bikeman pipe and diamond s can.
Although with how poorly our dollar is doing these days, the slp setup is cheaper by miles, may just get the combo platter from SLP. Cheaper, maybe 2 or 3 pounds heavier, but I'm a lard-butt so.. lol

Mixing and matching sounds fun.
Slp tuned the pipe and can to work together.
You might just spend double (diamond s) and get super light but no hp gains?

I don't think it would be a problem because for the Axys they use the same can for a stock pipe as they do for the pipe set.
