Washington fuel prices, how much can you take

How much of that cost is due to subsidies? If I understand this right (no jokes lol) the price of corn is artificially inflated due to these subsidies, remove them and the price will lower or at least the government will save some money. Sweet more 4k hookers for everyone.

Corn is not the long term solution.

switch grass for alcohol- long term

algea for biodiesel - long term

FRUITLAND is on state route 26 between Davenport on highway 2 and Colville on highway 20 state route 395. the town of fruitland consist of a gas station and a post office. this morning in machias I saw diesel for 4.11 may have to fill up every available fuel can for the next round of price hikes

1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liter....we don't do the Imperial gallon alphabet...price still sux any way you slice it and we're not far behind you on price! :eek:

So the $152.00 it cost to fill up the motorhome could have been worse? I suppose 3.45 per gallon for gas is one benefit to gas guzzler 454.

at Current prices it would take me around 450 bucks to fill mine, its been parked alot this year so far, and you could not even sell the thing now, some RV manufactures have been shuting down production because of slow sales!

I think that if you can afford to have a motorhome then you should be able to pay for the gas without complaining. It costs to be the boss :beer;

Interesting thought...Hmmmm...so if you can afford something then you should be happy that you are getting ripped off at the pump and shouldnt complain about it? WTF...Remember the Boston Tea Party? I

My perception that I get from you is that we should just stick our heads in the sand and pay whatever some massive corporation wants to charge while they are laughing at your azz all the way to the bank.

Exxon alone made over 40 Billion dollars in profits last year alone...about 37 Billion the year before. They do not want to do any research to find other energy alternatives either.
They paid 400 million to a CEO that left the company on his way out the door! At the same time they havnt paid out the money that they owe for the damage they caused with Valdez oil spill that their DRUNK employee caused...yes they knew he was a drunk also!

This all has a domino effect as well... you also get to pay the extra cost of transportation for trucking companies and air travel etc...they will all pass on the extra costs to YOU the consumer! They will not lower their profit margin..so when your cost of living continues to go up faster then any income increases that you may get then you can tell me what a great deal it is and how someone shouldnt complain about FU%$#ed up gas prices.
If someone bought a RV 5 years ago they bought it based on the current market conditions...i.e. cost of ownership...no one can calculate a 89% increase in cost as that is typically not something that normally happens. Unless people complain nothing will change! Oil industry makes too much coin and have too many politicians in their pockets!

What I would do is never buy any racing fuel like Trick for example...that would be a wake up call for some sellers of those types of products. and most sleds dont need it unless they have been modified quite a bit anyway...

Stand up for what you believe in and voice it loudly!

"A man that doesnt speak up for what he believes in, is no man at all" Any action no matter what the form is usually better than inaction!

You are also forgetting the fact that this market is based on supply and demand. We, the people complaining about the tremendously high fuel prices, are the same people that fill up our huge motorhomes that get 8 mpg, hook up to our trailer full of toys, and drive to a destination to enjoy these toys. What I was saying, sir, is that it costs to play the game. I'm not ignorant, or by any means blind to the fact of what these companies are doing. But these companies are doing what any self respecting business does. They supply to the customer for a profit. How about we reduce the demand for fuel and watch the price decrease...:face-icon-small-coo don't be so quick to judge one's statements without fully understanding what they mean.
