With just a T shirt on its 40". I only wear a thin base layer, thin fleece and a non-insulated shell so suited up Its only slightly bigger. If you wear thicker/more gear keep that in mind. The M/L is 44" +/- 4" so basically 40-48" and the XL/XXL is 48-56". Eric

Rode today with it on. SOOO Much better than a backpack! Didn't even notice it. Myt buddy got the non avy version its pretty sweet too. Bummer wary closed shop awesome product.

seems like a guy could cobble up some o-rings and whatnot if needed? i did get a couple extra refil packages. ( looks like o-rings and grease )

I think a guy could figure it out. I am liking the vest so far. The only thing I've noticed is it may be a bit loose .... I liked my pack tight. And am pretty active on the sled, I may be sweating a little more with the vest...

Hmm i'm 6'6" 200 ( skinny ) I got the XL? and the side straps are synched down a lot. doesnt seem loose at all to me.
Yea sweatty may happen. oh well.
avi vest
I've worn an avi vest for three years now and absolutely love it! In the spring when the weather gets a little warmer, all I do is dress accordingly and don't notice any more sweating then normal. It really is too bad that Wary went out of business.

Tried out my new vest for the first time yesterday. Fits great, and the only thing I noticed is that my helmet will sometimes bump the top of the vest. The only thing in the storage compartment yesterday was my shovel and probe. maybe once I get a little more gear in there it will ride a little lower. Nice quality vest. Wish I would of ordered the external pouch right away. Forgot about it when I called in the order. Oh well.
Do you have any of the backpacks or vests left?

As stated above we are unable to get anymore of the Wary product since they are sold out. We have plenty of other avalanche safety options though.
They are out now too far as I know.
Friend bought a vest from them a couple weeks ago and they were out last time I looked.
