Warrant ISSUES

So here is the deal. Purchased a 900 RMK last year from a Dealer I've dealt with for years. Based the purchase off of the price and the fact that I was told I would have a 3 year covered by Polaris and the fact I have a buddy that had one for a year with no problems and he was who we all tried to keep up with all year long. I understand how the 2 year extension works. Sled ran great all year and love the sled. Took it in at the beginning of the season had the temp sensor replaced. Went to pick it up and the service department told me that my sled was out of warranty, by two weeks. I told them impossible I still have 2 years. Come to find out Polaris doesn't have record of the warranty. Talked to original salesman who is also the GM, said he would get it straightened out that it was probably just a paper work issue. Didn't pay and they took care of it, how not sure. Let it go since he assured me that it would be fixed. It is a big concern for me since I now live 300 miles from the dealer I purchased it from and don't want to travel every time I have a problem.

Now the problem. I am now having problems, which I'm pretty sure is because the stator is going out (90% sure its the stator). Took it to a local dealer, I've got warranty right. Told them before doing anything to check warranty, but should be a problem. Well, found out today that Polaris still says NO WARRANTY. Luckily they haven't done anything yet so I don't bill yet, but still have a problem.

So has anyone else purchased a 900 RMK, was told they would have a 3 year warranty and come to find out they only have a 1 year warranty?

I'm starting to think this isn't a paper work issue, I'm thinking that the dealer was lying about the warranty period. I know several others who have purchase the 900 from this dealer and based their purchase off the same information. Just wondering if I'm the exception and this was a paper work issue or if there are more people like me.
