warning before you do business with Mmsports read this!

AMEN IDspud, couldn't have said it better myself! Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!

Sent from my super duper sweet iPhone using Tapatalk when I should be doing something productive!

you have to take into account the buyer has never had dealings with the seller and the seller informs the buyer after receiving the broken merchandise that he has financial issues and family issues...
this is a business dealing and the seller has a shop and business that revolves around this industry, never should personal/family issues be used as an excuse...
the buyer has money tied up in it and when he did business with the seller he did business with him not his family, which should always be kept separate.

i have my own business and i cant imagine telling my client or customers that i have family problems, so your issues will have to wait till my personal troubles are dealt with. or describing my financial problems to my client or customers and using it as an excuse to buy myself more time...

i guess i could do this but i would lose the confidence of my clients and customers and i would expect to...

as far as i am concerned the buyer purchased a used part that was sold to him as sound but used.

the buyer received the part but it was not sound, so is trying to get the part replaced, repaired or returned.

if i was the seller it would have taken me 2-3 hours to arrange for the buyers options ,,,repair, replace, refund...

but that has not been done..

in my mind i think it is fair for the buyer to report his experience on a forum where the seller has a reputation, hoping that this will motivate the seller to either replace, repair, or refund....

this is all my opinion of course....

i hope the seller fixes this ASAP...

because he does have a reputation on this forum!

Id, I agree MM doesnt need crusified, but, when I sell something on here, I dont touch the money until the customer receives the product and tells me he is happy with it..it sits in paypal until at least then and normally for an extra 3-4 days..just in case there is any issues with something I sell..and I agree, everything I have seen on here points to MM being a standup guy ..I hope he comes thru on this as well...

Here's a fast update:

Turbo is back from Aamo and the turbine wheel is damaged beyond use, as well the Tial housing needs to be replaced due to pitting from the fragments. They said they could try to machine it but the cost would be prohibitive.

So that means just sending a new centre section as Kevin wanted to do will not fully fix the problems, hence why i wanted to return it.

And there has been no communication between myself and Mmsports.

Wasatchcomm, Kevin does not have a business location during the summer, he is now sled only.

Dylan, I am not trying to start something and hope not to come off negative, but why has this communication been put on the sidelines:

So looks like you want to return it. That's is fine.
Send it back I will get you a refund .

I know you have said you are uneasy about this, but he has here offered you full refund.

I stated earlier I have never had a transaction which allowed the cash to go before the product. Three returns this year for me have all required that I return the item, notify paypal, and they refund the money, thus the reason for paypal.

Product is harder to recover than cash.

I have not stated that Kevin has handled this perfectly, I do agree that it needs resolved quickly, I am just trying to point out that you have left an option on the table.

It is good that you have tried to repair this as a cheaper route, now that we know that it's not possible, you have nothing to lose in returning what has now been deemed inoperable, so it does you no good to hang on to it. That brings us back to the offer above which he has already extended you.

If it was mine I would also want it back for possible salvage.

Once again I am wishing you good luck, hope that it comes to an agreeable ending.

I would agree with leaving money in paypal after selling. Im sure there have been quite a few instances where the seller pulls and spends the money instantly and then the buyer wants a return and the seller doesnt have the cash.....

really??

So again wow.

First I would have never sold you a 6000 turbo for 1750 if I would have known it was damaged.

I told you up front to send it back I would get you you money-back but it might take me a little bit to do so since I just spent a month at the hospital.

I should have lied??

I offered to replace the center cartridge mainly because I could swing that easier.

Anyway trash me you know what I tried and you was a Dick. So at thus point you can trash me I would guess so far you have done at least 2000 in damage were even .

Thanks for the guys that know me and said something.

It's peps like this why I shut my doors.

Well its unfortunate for both of you and threads like this don't help either of you. I will say that MMSports was good for me to deal with and I would do it again. You paid a low price for the turbo system, so it seams that maybe you guys could meet in the middle somewhere and you still get a good deal. Plenty of time left before the snow falls.

I don't understand some of you guys. Let me point out I'm not friends with either of these people. So you guys are saying that because he got it for a good price that it's alright that it's garbage? That's not right. If he was informed that it was trash in the ad he probally wouldn't have bought it in the first place. Now if he did offer you a refund you should have called him and worked out the details before this thread. Only reason I say call is alot more can be straightened out talking instead of emailing. Which ever way this goes I hope everyone has a good and safe season.

It's peps like this is why i shut my door's? Does this mean Your closing your doors because of to many complaints like this? Because thats what i'm reading.I'm just on the out side looking in mind you so if what i'm reading is right well i'll just leave it at that.

cubby, if you read through the recorded communications posted by cadmo and quoted by me, mmsports clearly offers a full refund and cadmo won't take the steps to send it back.

Hardass, "peps" he's talking about are ones that want to publicly flame instead of working out the problem, reread the printed communications carefully and a full refund was offered, but not accepted.

Snomobiler, thanks for reading the print before posting, that is the point I have been trying to argue:

Yes, there is a problem, a solution has been offered, the solution was turned down.

Cadmo posted this proof himself.

well i know when ever i bought a vehicle in an auction i ALWAYS was prepared to put an engine or tranny into it..it was just a safe guard i would work in when bidding..

i know dick all about turbo's..but i have looked at a few second hand, and the last one i was looking at was a 2500.00 unit...if i was going to pursue it i was going to offer 2grand and prepare myself for another possible min a thousand if needed. That is the only way i safely do purchases.

Selling on the internet, well i have sold to a few on this site and i always state my price i want...i always have sent it BEFORE any payment because I KNOW WHAT IM SELLING IS AS STATED...and the good people i have dealt with have always been happy to send the money after having the added luxury of having looked first hand at it.

In this situation...a 6500 turbo for 1750...i would have put a couple grand in the cookie jar just because i would have felt it might still be needed and the purchases still decent overall...but that is just the way i do it..

I don;t know turbo;s that well on sleds...i know what abuse they take and the tolerances they can handle in heavy equipment...i know this turbo has impeller issues, but really is pitting on a housing really that detrimental..??

anyway..i do feel for both parties..but i tell ya a person has to do all he can privately first before going public because i do have to agree with mmsports that the possibility that the publicity has a potential impact is a warrented legitimate concern for lost earnings...

the whole issue sucks..if the communications were reviewed before hand by the powers to be on this site im certain the recommendation would have been to not start this thread at this time...and as well saved some issues becoming further apart because of the thread..

So maybe the powers to be of this site should look at this thread..maybe something positive come of it ????

Well, if Kevin is really a stand-up guy he will still give a full refund for an item that was obviously misrepresented.

The fact that he is now saying they are even because Dylan publicized their emails shows his true colors and trashes his name far more than Dylan ever did!

All these other facts are just noise. Who can think that is a proper business transaction? The fact some of you are still supporting Kevin's actions really doesn't make me want to do any further business with my snowest brothers lol.

how would you feel if you replied to someone that you would" refund a purchase in whole...do not panic if you don;t hear from me for a few days"

and then voila all over the internet private emails are public and the fella in question is PREMATURELY called to public scrutiny...

im not saying things are right, but i do understand fustration and stress is happening in a situation that we don;t understand and its kinda unfair the we "snowest brothers" have been thrown into the mixing bowl..
