What I am surprised at is that a guy has an off day (or month) and suddenly his name is trashed when he fully shows he intends to help, just not as promptly as demanded.
Yes, I do believe a guy deserves a break when his family is involved in tragedy, I have seen it many times in my life through both friends and strangers, have given it, and recieved it.
One thing that makes me proud to be a snowmobiler is the fact that when someone is down, there is always a hand out to get him back up. I can't even begin to list the number of free parts, tanks of gas, spare tires, etc.etc. that I have seen sacrificed for a fellow sledder.
In Years (months even) past Snowest would have been trying to raise medical funds for Kevin rather than ramming this down his throat. (He even had a tether promotion fundraiser going for a friend earlier this year that lost an arm)
I have not stated that Kevin is off the hook for the damaged vane.
I agree that it needs to be taken care of in the cheapest but most correct way possible.
I DO NOT however agree that he needs crucified for this, he is a standup guy, search through snowest and you will find literally hundreds of thank yous for times when he bent over backwards to get a sled back on the hill. Two or Three are even from me.
I am not a relative or business partner, I am not being reimbursed in any way for these statements.
I do think that the Snowest community needs to reach down and help each other out in times of need, like they once did.
