warning before you do business with Mmsports read this!

I think he figured this would get back to mm faster than his calls and so he could reach him sooner this way. Shoot, if I had 1g tied up in something that was bogus and he stopped talking to me for a week I'd do the same thing. I realize circumstances are difficult but regardless OP deserved some answers. I think the only thing is he should have asked about MMsports instead of immediately criticizing his business. However, if he wasn't aware of MM's recent emergency you can't hold it against him either.

Kevin has always been a stand up guy with any dealings I've had with him. Reading the post and looking at his ad, I think it was just an unfortunate oversight by him when he sold it. I've never received a refund for anything until the other party had received it. I lost my only son in April and I can tell you without any doubt, that Kevins present state of mind is not on business, his only thoughts are taking care of his son. I know you have a lot of money tied up and worry about getting it back but he will make it right with you, just give him some time to get his life back together.

How is airing this here speeding up the process with Kevin?

You have your time records with Paypal and with Kevin, there is no need to be here in this forum, you will gain nothing by it but escalating it to a hostile transaction.

Why are you financially obligated for your friends injury?.... Just saying it's not quite the same thing.

I agree it needs addressed asap, You are not gaining anything by being here.

Have some patience and you will come out a lot better on this.

Well IDspud you clearly have you made up your mind regardless whatever points I may say.

Airing this in no way will speed up the process, its well past that it’s merely a warning to all future buyers what happened to me, that is all.

And you’re right I was not financially obligated to my friend. But do i need to submit a spread sheet of all costs and the times i took holidays at work to visit him in the hospital, drove him to rehab, paid for groceries, did house maint, etc. for 2 bike accidents.

AND my last point, his sons accident happened about a month ago, just as i first asked him about the turbo kit. He email back saying that his son was in an accident and needed a bit of time to be with his son, before he go through what he had for turbo parts and sell them to me. It just seems funny that he and his wife can make time to come up with a bill and take my money a few weeks ago, but now that there is an issue a few weeks later there is no time.

Interesting how there’s time for my money but no time to give it back???

PS I have those emails as well to back up my claim if need be.

I can understand your frustration. The only thing I can say is that I have dealt with Kevin before and even had to return something (not his fault) and he took care of it immediately. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Sounds like he has a lot going on and times are hard. That does not change the fact that he has to make this right with you. I hope this gets turned around for you quickly and I hope Kevin and his family are ok.

I still dont know how anyone can say he didint know. He had the turbo for a long time. I was bored and also have about 10 turbos sitting in my shop so I took a picture of how easy it is to see the damaged area of the turbine without taking anything apart. This turbo has almost the same housing as the one in question and I can see the whole turbine wheel without taking it apart. Enough said.

Not all turbos have a nice open v band style exhaust flange either, ive seen plenty of turbos that dont. aaaaaaaand if it was that easy that Kevin should have seen it as you claim then so would have the buyer, he wouldnt have had to take it apart to find the damage!!!! ENOUGH SAID :moony:

The turbo from that kit does have a nice V band which is why I took a picture of one. Im not picking fights just saying I cant believe he wouldnt know about this damage. Im done. Sorry for the opinion.

Then why did you have to take the turbo apart to see the damage? thats what im saying when you got it, it should have been the very first thing you seen when you opened it up? so yes i do wanna go down that road

lets not go down any road..too much road kill....lets go down a nice trail..bees,birds,flowers,streams,fresh air,...really though this is what scares me from used turbo's...dang why can;t ya build up the vanes like a boat prop...lol..

I dunno about anyone else, but i sure cant see the inducer of a turbo turbine looking in through the exducer. Never have been able to on any of the turbos ive seen, not even the ones with 5" plus exducers. Now i agree that the housing bolts being loose is a bit fishy, but to say you could see the damage (which was in fact to the inducer of the turbine wheel) without even taking the turbo apart is completely false.

What I am surprised at is that a guy has an off day (or month) and suddenly his name is trashed when he fully shows he intends to help, just not as promptly as demanded.

Yes, I do believe a guy deserves a break when his family is involved in tragedy, I have seen it many times in my life through both friends and strangers, have given it, and recieved it.

One thing that makes me proud to be a snowmobiler is the fact that when someone is down, there is always a hand out to get him back up. I can't even begin to list the number of free parts, tanks of gas, spare tires, etc.etc. that I have seen sacrificed for a fellow sledder.

In Years (months even) past Snowest would have been trying to raise medical funds for Kevin rather than ramming this down his throat. (He even had a tether promotion fundraiser going for a friend earlier this year that lost an arm)

I have not stated that Kevin is off the hook for the damaged vane.

I agree that it needs to be taken care of in the cheapest but most correct way possible.

I DO NOT however agree that he needs crucified for this, he is a standup guy, search through snowest and you will find literally hundreds of thank yous for times when he bent over backwards to get a sled back on the hill. Two or Three are even from me.

I am not a relative or business partner, I am not being reimbursed in any way for these statements.

I do think that the Snowest community needs to reach down and help each other out in times of need, like they once did.
