VES Gold V/S AMSOIL

Yeah I heard that also, but also know that Polaris doesn't play well with companies that make competitors products and Lube Tech makes Arctic Cat and I believe BRP oil. Heard from numerous sources Polaris uses Como, heard from 1, now 2, they use Lube Tech to produce their oil. If you look and smell Arctic Blue Synthetic (its not blue) its has similar appearances (just that, appearance, I didn't test it).

Polaris has used Lubetech for many years.

I've seen terrific film strength, limited wear and temperature protection with Amsoil Race/Dominator in doos, but I have also experienced rod bearing corrosion with Dominator, even with a motor fogged for summer. Supposedly the Amsoil distributor providing to my dealer buddy told him it doesn't have the corrosion package that Interceptor has, but has a higher film strength at high temp. Can't speak to tear downs with Interceptor. Just FYI, if you're running Dominator. I can see why it's a well respected race oil, and works well with the engine temps/high RPMs mountain motors get exposed to.

Don't see anything wrong with Gold for an OEM oil, but I also run Legend because of it's corrosion protection, dino vs. synthetic (and premix 1 ounce per gal in the tank). Redline is another great synth oil.
