I think some of the earlier Avid cases came without a vent.

I think some of the earlier Avid cases came without a vent.

That is correct , the earlier Avid did not have a vent ,i was having problems with the oil being pushed out the bottom seal and or the bottom seal being pushed out once the oil got hot , pressuring up, had to drill a hole in the top of the cover and connect a vent tube , problem fixed , Avid should of know that this would happen , i called Robby about this three years ago , glad to see he has added the vent.
