CNSA got a federal grant for $38,000 for safety that should be enough to
pay for the trailer and stock it!

What are the details ???

Great to know all those "safety" people at CNSA getting help to save lives.

THE TRUTH

I. I pledge a sharing of all proceeds raised at the Reno Film Festival raffle to the CNSA Safety Trailer Program and to the Blair Morgan Foundation.

2. We raise $3000 at the event. A simple $1500 split between organizations listed above.

4. I make plans with you to donate the $1500 due to the CNSA at the snowmobile event at Cisco Grove last winter. I make it clear that I would like to get as much PR benefit from the check-give for Team Summit as possible, so I would like to make the presentation in person instead of just mailing a check.

11. I decide that the $1500 would be better used in a different way but still given to the CNSA...hopefully in a way that the actual membership would benefit from.

I was at the festival and donated money to the raffle. I did so with the understanding that I was donating to the Blair Morgan Foundation and the CNSA Safety Trailer Program. The "PR benefit" from this raffle ended at the film festival. The money from the raffle is not your money.

The "cause" for which the money was donated can not change because you and your buddies are having a disagreement. I donated to a raffle in order to help with avalanche education and to help a person/family in need. You need to donate the money to BOTH causes as was promised.

The local snowmobile community needs to move on. There are many issues that threaten our sport and these rifts are not beneficial to our common cause.

The "PR" benefit that you are gaining at this point is nothing but negative.

You forgot to mention the unpaid bills @ the Grand Sierra Resort Jlowe. King set this whole thing up for you, then you turned around and left him holding the bag. Collections has been after him until recently, when you finally agreed to start making them payments. Does anyone else see a pattern here? And you are going to sit here and try to push this onto King and Richard Brightman? does anyone else doubt the character of these men? I certainly don't. Why don't you try your "moral high ground" sometime? You are a deadbeat: Plain and simple.

Hu the way I see it is Jeff Aiello has done a lot for the snowmobile community and I dont see the man as a Crooked man or a "Deadbeat". He is the only one that has come out and POSTED his PH number for anyone to call, yet people are continuing to slander him on the internet NICE. If you have questions about the situation CALL him dont just speculate because you have heard one side of the story. I have heard both sides of the story and it seems cowardly to post on the internet instead of calling a man that you have a beef with. This whole thing started with a post on the internet. Jlowe has made many attempts to appoligize here on the web sites and give his rationale for the misunderstanding. This is really to bad you know I have lived here for 15 years and have never seen so many people attend a show about sledding like last year now from all the fall out it may have been the last. King did do a lot of work for the preimer and that did not go unnoticed. There would have been no movie without Jlowe lets remember that. I have ridden for 25 years and have never in my LIFE had so much fun or meet so many great guys and riders until the last two years. We are a small community of riders with a little area to ride lets dont make this more uncomfortable than it already is, pull it together. Jeff said he was taking care of the problem he is not stealing the money nor was that his intention.

Sincerely Kris Kaltenbacher

this is a chitty situation for everyone envolved! The premiere last year was awesome and I was looking forward to a 2nd annual. Hope this can get resolved!!!

Wow....interesting to see how many people are quick to jump on a band wagon and rip someone without having all the facts. Vertical Mike.....hmmmm, first post ever, that seems like typical SnoWest drama right there at it's finest. However, if some of you are so quick to have uncontrollable diarrhea of the mouth, let me set some things straight about the person you are trying to rip.

I have known Jeff Aiello for 10 years now, and I have yet to meet a finer ambassador and positive proponent of our sport. Let me highlight some of the things I know first hand that he has done, then you band wagon junkies can let me know how you have helped contribute to the sport and why you think you are so high and mighty. Jeff has run a CNSA chartered Snowmobile Club for over 10years. He has been involved in many state and federal movements to help keep our sport alive. He has had Pro-Snowmobile articles published in one of the biggest Newspapers in California. He has written articles for the CNSA, and helped with graphic design of their magazine. He has spent countless hours fighting to keep our public lands open, and get more and more people involved and aware of this fight. He has filmed, produced and edited all of the Team Summit Elevation series videos, along with helped both Dan Garidner and Jim Phelan with their videos, Boondockers and Thunderstruck, respectively. Believe me, these videos are GOOD for the sport and get more people involved. He attends Snowmobile trade shows on a yearly basis from Seattle to Minnesota in an attempt to promote the sport of snowmobiling. 2 years ago, he sets up, recruits 15 of his own friends/riders to have a charity car wash which raises $1200. The proceeds were donated to 2 injured snowmobilers, Cheryl Desson of Extreme Team Films, and Lance from Highmark Recreation in Boise, ID. Both parties had enormous medical expenses and both received a check from Jeff Aiello on behalf of Team Summit to help them out.

This list keeps going, but I hope this is enough for you to get the point. He is not backing out of any agreement and openly stated for everyone here to see, that he is taking care of his obligations. Yet, what pisses me off more than anything is, that some people would rather stir the pot, in our own family of snowmobiling, and bad mouth a man that has done more for our sport than all of us combined. If some of you are so high and mighty, than instead of running your mouths and causing more problems in our own sport, maybe you can use that energy and write a Politician, or attend a meeting, or do something positive for our sport. We have enough issues as it is with our current disgusting Political Administration, that the last thing we need to do is fight amongst ourselves. So before any of you decide to have some "profound" rebuttal to what I have said......especially one that has little to no knowledge of ALL the facts, ask yourself, what makes you so much better for the sport and how are you helping. And by all means, don't bring in the CNSA......that is another can of worms that 99% of you would sh_t over if you really knew what was going on there. There you have.....that is as clear as it can be. Hopefully everyone can understand this and knock off the un-educated bad mouthing that continues to occur!!!

PS Happy Fathers Day.... this is worse than the parents in fist fights at Pop-Warner I hope a better example is set than this moving forward

Was eating popcorn reading this forum post and then a little light switch turned on and I can not sit here and say nothing.

As a person who attended and donated money to the Blair Morgan Foundation and CNSA during the Reno film fest, I would really like to see my money go to those causes. The fact that I (along with all of the other attendee's) were donating money to Blair was very compelling and fashionable charity at the time due to the fact his accident was in very recent memory. The fact that the money still has been unable to be reach the Blair Morgan Foundation or CNSA, I would like a full refund of my money, so that I can take my money and send it to the organizations myself!!!

Not sure about all of the other issues that are involved in this argument, but all I can say is, the fact that the charitable donations were asked for and the charities that we were donating to have not received the money, is flat out WRONG!!!!!

This is not about who is a good guy or a bad guy, this is about asking for money from people for charity, and not delivering... Pure Bullsh*t

As a neutral person who has been around here a while looking in from the outside....

I donated $100 in the raffle and I am disappointed to hear that $100 has not made it into the hands it should have after 9 MONTHS! I'm not blaming anyone but all this bickering is just going to make our small smowmobile support community even smaller. Lets get the money where it needs to go. Maybe instead of the CNSA and blair morgan foundation lets give it to the BRC and/or SAWS.

Sean

AO, I do not see any ripping going on here that was not asked for. Jlowe wanted the truth out, well lets get ALL the truth out, there is more involved here than just the donations.
Jlowe, I want to believe that this was all just a huge mistake, but the facts all lead one to think otherwise, it just seems that there are too many coincidences all pointing in one direction. I am sure I do not have the whole story, but i got the gist of it. I don't know there is any "Hate" out there like you said, I think the term "dissapointment" would be more accurate. Getting this all cleared up will definately be a step in the right direction towards restoring the pride we all had in Team Summit before this black eye happened.
