ultimate track 162' or 174?

I am a big guy and love the steep and deep hard pulls, I want to know which track is better size 162 or 174? I have always had a 162, my last sled had the powerclaw and I loved it. I want to know the guys who have ridden it or who have a 174 and how they like it? what track would be best behind a mcx nytro?

Hands down, the 174 rules the hill. Its really not that much bigger than the 162. You will love it:face-icon-small-coo

It's night and day if your climbing the steep and deep. I'll never have anything less then a 174. I'm with AdrenalineAddiction, I'd put on a 186 if they had it as well.

so 174 is the way to go in the hills, how is it for playin in powder? whippin donuts etc....

Thats where I like it best, boondocking in 3ft of pow, huge difference from 162. The 3" is even better. :face-icon-small-sho

Keep it coming...

Good thread, I just picked up my new nytro today. I'm on the fence between the 162 and the 174. I never found the 162" to be a handful at all on the tapex, so I'm leaning towards a 174". Just don't want a big loss in the agility department.

Like everyone said 174 is now the only #. Once you ride a 174 you will never understand how you ever rode anything less. Its a given that it climbs better but you will never understand how good it boondocks until you ride one and you will never go back. The amount of flotation is so much different than a 162 even in the trees it will make you a better boondocker no matter how tight. I bet it does donuts worse than a 162 but who really cares about that. You will climb, boondock etc so much better that you will wonder why you waited this long. Pls buy a 174 and thank us later

I have to agree here to. I had a 162 on my apex and blew it off on a ride and was on the fence as you are with with what to go with for a replacement. AA, NM and other friends all said 174 and i have to say they where right. 174 2.5 with a m10 is what I'm running and love it.Still easy to ride and through around with better flotation!
