Tying to make you, Catwoman and especially Christopher to understand why so many are disgusted and leaving is like (to quote a great but long lost contributor to Snowest, Fab) like trying to nail Jell-O to a tree.
The way you "RED named" folks stand behind one another saying..."Yeah, what he said" or..."Great job" "Well said" is pathetic.
Soon you'll have the place to yourselves so you can all sit around patting yourselves on the back in peace.
Keep explaining how great he is and how great the site will be and how great the changes are and all along how terrible it was when it was less moderated and soon enough you will realize you are talking to a completely new group of Kool aid drinkers because all of the people who made this site what it WAS will be gone.
Won't that be great.
Fouled plug was a place to bash and be unruly and pick on each other and slam people's trucks or sleds or whatever...It worked with very little moderating and Big Darren did an outstanding job of it.
NOW...if someone says boo the wrong way their post and possibly the whole thread gets deleted.
Well you can have it. Enjoy, the place is a joke and it was the best.
It's nothing but the punchline of every joke about a poorly run forum.
And Fordguy, Your analogy does not work.
When we "went 70 in the 65" Big Darren ticketed us as needed.
Now the speed limit is 10 MPH and it's no fun anymore.

I'm sorry to see that my being here in this section for 4 days has so grossly offended you. I have had absolutely nothing to do with the moderation of this section up until about 4 or 5 days ago and I was under the impression that I was one of the easier going mods, at least that is what the folks in the 900 forum have told me. I was the only one who volunteered to take on this section when the other mods didn't want their names tied to the bottom of the page and so far, I still do not regret doing it.
As far as kool-aid goes, I prefer Gatorade

This thread reminds me of the day a week or so back when Christopher said "I have only deleted a single post today." and then I asked "Do you mean the post of mine you deleted? Or was there another?" and no response.
Could have been pretty simple to say "Yep." I mean, afterall, the members have the PM's to prove who deleted what and on what days.

I speak of the over moderating in general terms and did not mean to imply that you yourself were the real problem with the heavy handed, power crazed mod decisions.
As far as me being offended?
I rarely check in here anymore, probably once in the past week, maybe twice because most all of the folks I ride with and talk with all the time have already flown the coop.
Really just checking PM's, Copying the important ones into files to be referred to later and yes, a little morbid curiosity too.
Don't take it personally FG. I don't hold you responsible for this "thing" that happened to SW.
You are still a good guy but don't get suckered into believing that the forum will survive without the people who built it.
Don't burn your bridges too!
