How come a post deemed "inappropriate" or "disrespectful" gets a whole thread deleted?

That is occurring more from the sheer number of troublesome posts. Ask yourself, if it was your job to keep the peace, and each troublesome post builds on the last and keeps getter farther out of line and more and more disrespectful, would you not grow weary and pull the plug at the first sign of trouble?

We are all doing the best we can here, but when things get too out of hand, sometimes you have to call in the air tanker to put out the trash can fire before the whole forest goes up in flames.

I hope that makes some sense. I hate seeing the forum up in arms.:(:beer;

If there's that many troublesome posts...don't you think the problem may not be the posters but with the policies being implemented? I don't know if anybody remembers amsnow, but SW took the same turn as amsnow and now the headlights are being shined right in the admin's eyes. Too bad they're too blind to see what's about to hit them. I don't know if any of the admin go lurking on any of the other similar sites, but SW is a HOT topic in all off them, and not in a good way. I see a lot of old regular members jumping ship, and it's a shame that the wealth of information this site is losing on a daily basis.

So one question, what was so troublesome and bothering about Mules good bye thread that it deserved to be deleted in the first place, hence this thread's existance?

And I know you don't have the answer to this but Brian does, so go back into the dark room and ask him to at least have the stones to either respond or put the thread back that was a simple good bye and this is why I'm leaving. It wasn't inflammatory, it was just the simple truth.

Because the Admin is taking lessons from Obama and doing everything they can to hide the truth.

They're even spending money like Obama; thinking it will make everything better and taxing the users (the $10/year fee)...but what's that saying? You can't tax yourself into prosperity?

I think theres a huge difference in mods and admin. Mule was a mod that disagreed with admin, more mods need to follow suit. Mods who where once members volunteered to be mods, members made this site not admin. :beer;

There is no way I can answer that question that will not result in an avalanche.

I thought I would stop by down here to try to help out things in some little way with the legitimate answers that I can give in the limited position that I have.

Remember there are always two sides to every story, 2 ways changes can be viewed, and 2 reactions we can make. There are many things in the road ahead that I am optimistic about here, but seeing as much unhappiness as there has been here in this section recently, I wanted to come and see what I could do to help, or perhaps volunteer myself as a target if that is how you want to look at me.

I do honestly believe that this place can be as good as it always was if we all put in a little effort.

Would we all be happy sledding the same hillclimb every weekend for years with no sign of moving to another? Or do we take a chance and go to some new grounds to see if the powder there might be better? Personally, I have lots of fun doing the same thing over and over, but there comes a time when we all want to try the new snow no matter how good our favorite powder hill has been.

I respect that. I think you Mods do a hell of a job. I see you guys as the middle men, caught in the cross fire and trying to hold the peace...it's a hard job. I think you know who we have grief with.

I don't know how this place will ever be the same. SW has lost a lot of very knowledgeable members over this crusade.

Wow, I can't imagine how hard it was to set the self timer on your digital camera to take a photo of yourself. Dang hooves and all...

Good job!!:p

Now look whos gone and made this a disrespectful thread! Haven't you been telling everyone to clean their chit up and then you have to go and pick on a member WTF this isn't allowed in the "new" snowest

I was fortunate enough to be able to read Mule's post before it was yanked. The guy is a class act! He will be missed...here!

If you didnt get the chance to see Mule's post but would like to, then PM me. I was so impressed by it that I saved it. I was going to re-post it but knew it would just get yanked again.
