ok, wild crazy day. 1 " at Parleys Summit. turn onto 40... blizzard. 12 " in downtown Park City. 248 to Kamas... almost impassable. same w/40 to Heber. my plow guy said... Utah county dumping, SLC and Bountiful ZERO, Ogden dumping. I had maybe 18" in Samak. All roads drifted in and zero vis w/high winds. Ski resorts on wind holds for many lifts. Powder *** deep according to family. first time ever.Parleys summit is the banana belt and PC proper is gettign hammered. Mountains... hammered. riding? gonna be nuts. wooohooooo.... and for once no shoveling at this house... the other one is buried!!!!

Wow Kim that is hard to believe. We got slammed. Ron is out there again with the snow blower. Suncrest is a complete mess. I thought my life was over on the way to Sugarhouse earlier. A big chunk of solid ice came out of the sky and hit my windshield full force on the freeway. Scared the chit out of me. I'm still shakin. And I need a new windshield, I'm so surprised it didn't go right through it. It's a cracked up mess right now.
This storm dumped on us hard but we are loaded and ready to hit the road.

I'd much rather be out having to clean the NEW white stuff up than watching it melt and blow to a dirty nothing here in Bountiful/Centerville!!! I would never had believed the south end of the valley got hit like that! WOW- thanks for the pics SH - it's been lame here (the weather that is....). Kids and Santa have made the day spectacular!!

Safety Guy - I made a neighbor take a midnight "quick run" to Rock Springs with me the night before Valentines Day this year to trade a sled for an ATV - 26 hours later and a rash of chit from my wife(and him/his wife!!) for missing V Day, we were back home! Best of luck through The Sisters!
i am in star valley right now so i have to deal with crappy 2 lane road pretty much the whole way that they seem to not like to plow to well! looks like it could be an interesting trip! i am trying to get the motivation to get off the couch and actually go though haha

Not a single skiff of snow in cottonwood heights
As of 6:15 pm, we haven't had a drop of snow in Cottonwood Heights area. Wierd. It's rained and wind blew like a mutha but no snow, nothing, nada.
I was kind of bummin'.

It's gunna be rippin deep tomorrow.

Man thats scary. That could of been a lot worse. Ice from the tops of semis or flying from snow plows can really jack things up. Glad it was only a windshield.

this f-ing sucks in vernal the weather chanel and the news both made it sound like we would get a foot or more in town and like 3 in the mountains. so far about an inch total last night and today. so freakin bugged. it better start snowin like a s.o.b. tonight!!!!!!
