this is the BIGGEST UFC card till date and you cant rule anyone out!!!
Lesnar/Mir....hard to predict Mir is.....or lets say can be the man and hard to beat if he is on his game (dont forget he already made Lesnar TAP and his last fight stod toe to toe with a Ledgend and beat him, but what a hard fight to predict...I like to see Mir whoop him just because.....
GSP Alves....GSP better respect Alves or...but if GSP fights smart he should dominate
Dan Bisping, I just hope Dan shuts him up...cause that guy is freakin annoying
the questions is how much alcohol will be consumed that night...and more upset the better.....hats of to Dana White.

Go Brock!! Worked out at the GYM in Plymouth, MN and he came in often and we talked about Bow Hunting a few times. He seemed pretty down to earth to me. Mir got so lucky that first fight, he was getting his asz handed to him. They have both bettered themselves since then so it should be fun. I like Frank, just not this time.

I thought Mirko looked great in 99 against Al-Turk. It was just too bad the poke marred his victory a bit.
He wasn't let go, but rather flaked out on a verbal contract with the ufc.
He plans to fight in Japan for more $$$.
I think Lesnar will destroy Mir.
When there is someone you love to hate, and he is the champ, it makes the sport more WAAAAY interesting.
Look at Mike tyson, in his earlier years, Boxing was de chit... he came back later in life and lost. look at boxing now. It is not no where near the excitement it was.
Lesnar is good for UFC.

My thoughts..................
Brock vs. Mir - I think Brock will knock him out in the 2nd round. The first round will be Mir looking to strike, Brock strike back then push him against the fence, take him down, control the ground and rough him up with short punches / elbows / knees. Rinse, Repeat, and Mir will GAS. He will get sloppy in the second and Brock will knock him out. I see it looking alot like Brocks fight with Randy.
You dont have to like Brock as a person, but you have to admire his insane work ethic and drive. He is a totally different level of fighter than the one that Mir LUCKILY subbed in Brock's first fight. He has improved much more than Mir has and wont make a rookie mistake again.
GSP vs. Alves - I dont like GSP as a person, but he has the most complete skill set of any fighter in the UFC. He has had some mental problems in his losses (Hughes I and Serra I) but has come back a much stronger fighter after both. Alves does not do well with wrestlers (see his loss to Fitch) and GSP is the best wrestler in the UFC right now. Alves does have a chance if he can keep it standing, but I think GSP is such a smart fighter now that he will just take Alves down and impose his will on him much like he did BJ.
Hendo vs. Bisping - I pray to the heavens that Hendo stomps an absolute mud hole in Bisping. Hendo is one of my all time favorite fighters and if Bisping tries his "technical striking to score points and win a decision" it will not work out for Bisping. Hendo will just take him down and beat him up. Bisping does not have the power to knock out an iron jawed Hendo (or anyone for that matter) and I see this fight going the distance in a one sided decision for Dan the man.
Overall a great card and cant wait for Saturday night!

I agree with you on all 3 but I will be pulling for Mir. I give Mir a bit more of a shot than you but your probably right. Should be a lot of fun to watch. It's been a while since we had a card like this!
I agree with your pics too. However...I'd love to see Koshcheck and GSP have a wrestling match...Folkstyle (collegiate) wrestling....LOL I think GSP would loose.

When I started watching this I fully expected to see Scott Smith and Pete Selle's fight in there...
I watched the fight live a few years ago between Scott Smith and Pete Selle....that was INSANE...back and fourth banging and they even high fived each other and smiled and egged each other on. It was pure heart.
Late in the fight Selle drilled Smith in the ribs and Smith looked like he was going to drop...Selle moved in for the finish as Smith was doubled over holding his ribs...Smith caught Selle square as he moved in and put him OUT. Smith fell in agony holding his ribs.
Anyone remember that...it only made the 45th spot. It was an INSANE fight...as good as Griffin/Bonner number 1.

Very possible. Two different sports with different rules. But I do know when GSP and Kos fought, GSP's wrestling was MUCH more superior. Again, wrestling in an MMA fight is different than on the mat, buuuuuuuuttttttttt..... Kos couldnt take him down or control him on the ground, while GSP took him down routinely and kept him there.
I should have said that GSP is the best in the UFC at applying his wrestling skills in an MMA fight.
I totally understand what you mean....and I would agree with that. That's why I would like to see them in a sanctioned wrestling match...might be fun.

Did anyone hear the radio interview Jason Ellis had with Mir..Ellis says Im going to induct you into awesome world he said. Mir says why? Ellis says anyman that can submit a guy with a tatoo of a dick on his chest and not only did you make him tap but you made him tap your ***....Deserves to be inducted into awesome world...It was funny.....Anyway rootin for the underdog....GO MIR

I hope Lesnar tears his uterus. Mir deserves to clobber him this time. I bet that Mir plays standup the whole fight and catches Brock in the 2nd with a sleeper to the lips.........
mir got lucky in the first bout imo and i think brock ko's mir early in the first then turns around and knocks out the ref
