Twisted turbo

Shane...sounds good on the 100LL

Can you take a poke at #2 - 8 in my post above?

And the clean air intake topic?

Hope to meet you this year in Castlegar with Bud, Abmer, Justin and he gang and see that sukka run in person!

Can you set it up for a tunnel dump exhast with muffler?
In our "Sierra cement" coastal snow.. the turbos with the bottom exhaust are having problems with this.

Thank you for taking time to answer my questions.

PIX!!

I have made some pretty log pulls at 15#s got to the top and put my hand on the airbox felt like about 100 I dont have a temp sender on it sorry but it does not get hot enough to warrant checking it.

At 15 lbs... I truly doubt that you are anywhere near 100 degrees... I'd be surprised if it was sub 200 .... Just basic thermodynamics.

One Q at a time:

3) Stock reeds: Have you had any reeds out for inspection that have more than 500 miles on them? (pics)

Shane...

Some questions from above... if you can take the time to answer them... much appreciated.

3) Stock reeds: Have you had any reeds out for inspection that have more than 500 miles on them? (pics)

4) Intake: Did you and Paul work out a fresh air intake that is plumbed into the system?

As far as the intake goes... having a CLEAN LOOKING cold air intake as opposed to a "snorkel" type intake will make a Big difference in me or other consumers buying your kit.

I really hope that you are able to work well with FNI (Paul) on this and come up with something as clean as he has developed for HM turbos, SPS etc...

Many potential Turbo buyers share this view.

Post up a pic of your personal TT-D8 and he intake as you run it.

5) BOV: Since this is also the Idle/off-boost air supply in your system... Did you come up with a filter for this to keep belt dust and underhood dirt/water out of the engine?

7) Controller: Has Derek been able to get you the attitude boxes on time?
Do you have your own Dobek programmer to "tweak" the setups from attitude?
Has Derek been out riding with you to tune these for more than a couple of hours?

8) Sled models: Will you have options for the CFi 700? [what turbo are you using Eg GT2860.. ]

if we install it in house we will do it how ever you want but I am not cutting a hole in my tunnel to make it for 1 guy sorry I ulled the reeds out tonight at 700 miles at above 12 #S EVERY RIDE the reeds are worn on the top and bottom a small bit but not bad but the intake boot was split I cant believe it ran so good with a split intake the cat would have pucked.

you could put the intake to the stock plenum with just an elbownot hard to do at all.
as for the bov you can put an outer wear over it if you are worried about belt dust.
as for the controller it has been great working with derick he has been out with us a few times I can change my own programs so he does not need to hold my hand to much I have plenty of boxs have not run out once but I also stock 20 or more at a time.
I have not done the 700 the turbo is a 2871, If some one wanted a 700 it would have to be done in house for the first one.to make sure everything fit

update on the twisted d8 i have put 600 miles on at 15 #s of boost with not one reed failure or oiling problem ,I have worked the sled extremely hard trying to hurt it and I have to say it starts first or second pull every time it has not had to be towed not once.
Yesterday it pulled a couple chutes that the m10 turbo would not pull in fair ness to the m1000 it has a stock skid and my d8 has a kmod with 174:)

Can't wait to see this sled that pulls 100 degrees @ the airbox with NO intercooler. ;) All I can say WOW. I am in total Awe.

Look forward to running into this D8T sometime.

BTW did anyone see this set up run in Cooke City this last weekend?
