Looks sweet.

Looks awesome.

Question would be why not put that piggy in a blanket? A turbo blanket? keep the heat in the turbo and out of the engine compartment? Especially now with the close proximty to head, coolant tank electronics?

is that just for chits and giggles or is this really a production system? i bet the short (non existant) charge tube makes for some quick spooling, throw a fire n ice headlight intake on there and you have a perfrect forced cold air intake for the turbo too. interesting...

Very short charge tube/airbox, only one silicone piece:D We had to add some length for the large BOV;). A cold air intake is in the works. This is the first production unit with more to come.

Looks like that sled is going to rip. Do you have any worry of the turbo getting hot melting a hole in the gas tank? Just a thought, I'm sure that the guys at Twisted did their homework.

It accually further away from the tank than the ac the in take side of the turbo does not see the heat that the exaust does. We did not put the blanket on just for the build we will put it back on. I accually perfer to leave them off.
This kit sould be one of the best priced kits out there and it is diffrent than the rest. We have been testing with the dragons seince they came out in 07 but did not like any set up till now. We used a bigger turbo than most and the throttle responce fells like a ski doo 860. It builds boost smooth and even and instantly. We are flodding a feild today to go run it if anyone has a vidieo cam and wants to see we will be testing in clinton ut this after noon heres a # to call 801 668 6344 shain.

I bet that sled has some "ATTITUDE" LOL. Sorry couldnt pass that up. I saw this kit the other day. It sure is twisted. Havent seen anything of this nature on the polaris yet. Pretty neat how they came up with a hole new concept on a way to mount the turbo. I cant wait to ride it.

This must be a new thought because I asked Shain about two months ago about twisting my 700 and he didn't have anything at that point. I too would love to ride that sled.

a heat blanket will ally add heat to the turbo...a ton of heat might i add

maybe a cheap heat sheild would be nice, but im guessing a fair amount of venting will greatly reduce the heat...i ran a Diamond S hood for a few rides last year and was completly unable to arm up food with my hot pot.....so the stock hood went back on, a hot pot is the numbro uno mod for any sled IMO...big boys gotta eat:cool:

On another note------that turbo support cross member brings up a good topic and would be great to replace the bear can think POS M steering post cross member...loose as a goose

which systmes have the charge tube over the exhaust?

Boondocker was doing it when they used a full sized intercooler on RMK's. i have no clue why this would work. Heat from the engine and exhaust rising to warm the intercooler?

It would Look even better with a KMOD snowmobile suspension. They really work well for soaking all those bumps and applying ski pressure. With all that Twisted Horse Power, your going to need it!!!!

Sweet Job!!!:D

Just curious if you thought about the use of a 90 degree hose to run the air filter externally for optimum air intake ?

I sure your not done heat taping yet either ? Mag side spark plug cap looks a bit exposed when the turbo gets hot as does the collant jug :D

nice install
