Turny conditions

We were down on Friday, Jan 8. Beautiful day until some late afternoon fog rolled in. Snow was very crusty and hard. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3azkytBcgGQ for conditions. If you want to see the funny part, skip to about 3:45 in.

OMG that was great I can feel the panic when he's off and trying to hold it, also love the audio as the crotch, meets tree. The one tree in the area, of course, and that's exactly why I don;t use a big red windshield bag!:D

Just got back from trying to do a little tuning down there. About the same as the last post. About a foot of fresh and very poor vis. I guess the vis is worth it though cause if it keeps up it might get good again. Was not a fun ride at all but it is looking better than a couple days ago. Lets just hope it does not get any warmer.

Well, the day would have been better if I wouldn't have hit the ditch and ejected both my sleds off my trailer yesterday. Some of you probably saw me down in the ditch at Placer. My longtrack's tunnel is ****ED so that was a bum deal, but I took my brother who I havent seen in years riding and he had a great time so it was better than nothing.

About 1.5-2 feet of fresh, but you can still hit the ice layer pretty quick and the rear end washes out. Another foot or so and it will be a ton of fun.

What a grerat day! 2 feet or more of snow, in some spots even more. The ice is buried enough to bomb around and launch, but if you come down to hard on a landing, you'll find the ice real quick. The snow has just the right ammount of resistance to carve and boondock around. Hopefully the weather forecast is right becasue they are calling for more snow for turny.

Bryan, thats you in the picture under that snow!
