turbo or big bore

My buddie just installed his SLP 777 kit and we rode it on my pond it ran well and they claim 91 octance & 160hp @ 3000ft. My house is at 1947ft and we had no problems on 92. The kit is $2995.

Why does that sound like a lot of money to me for only a 20HP gain over stock? I'm in the same boat though, but I think I'm just going to go with the Carls porting on my sled, and if thats not enough just attach a bottle on it for those special occasions. The Carls 770 kit looks decent, but I havent really heard any info on its performance @3,000ft.

i dont think i would ever spend the money on a bottle set up again. i had one on my 600 rmk 2 years ago and it wasnt that use full, on flat ground it barley mad a difference,
and 20 hp for that money is good. i guess its all personal preference.

i decided to go the other way and put a high powered fan on my sled with a few lbs of boost

sea level

i have run sea level at 7-9# for 2 years now,
And i will go with 11-1 comp this year for even more boost.
All on pump-of course i have run higher on race gas.
