Turbo Engine Life?

I have come across a good deal on a 08 turbo dragon. It was boosted at about 1500 miles, and now has 2100? I know that reeds and pistons should be replaced after every 800-1000 miles, but how long should the rest of the motor last? Crank, rods, jugs, oil pump, etc? It is a boondockers pump gas kit as well, any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks

No worries, if it is set up properly and you octane is inline for the boost you are running. At moderate boost levels up to 12 psi if the octane is sufficient it will last, I believe lubrication is better in the bottom end because of the increased air pressure at high loads, its all good for the motor. The drive train takes more strain that is were I have had problems.

I don't trust octane rating on pump gas!

Ya i agree with BOYKO in this. The boost actually pushes the oil out to the outside crank bearings, and with your fuel box you avoid all those pesky lean spots in the stock ECU. If the sled was taken care of and has a good maintenance record there's no reason it won't last. And if you are worried about durability HM turbos has a Reed Lubrication and Limiting System that helps keep the reeds and the bottom end lubed.
