Turbo apex snorkle needed

I was told to buy a 2 1/4" trash pump filter and then put the Outerwears prefilter over that to prevent it from iceing up in deep powder. I have exhausted the following --Home Depot, Lowes, McMaster Carr, and Grainger. Does anyone know where I might find one of these? I have seen them on sleds for sale on snowest, but now that I have decided I need one I cant find it.

Both CR racing and Boondockers sell these with the prefilter. It has to have a 3 inch nipple welded to it as well. Not wortrh messing around just order one!

I got mine at boondacker for $130 bucks or so powder coated ready to go.

If I was in a bind and wanted to get riding I would build one out of PVC (light schedule) or ABS. Driil some holes in the pipe and make sure all the burrs are cleaned out and you can ride until your new one shows up.

Thanks guys, I think I will try Quicksilvers idea'r, after all it only needs to be there to provide a frame for the Outerwears prefilter. Excellent idea and should be a hair under $130

Thumbs up to Quicksilver. I have built several out of ABS. Start with a short section of 2" ABS pipe. This will go into the rubber elbow that connects to the turbo. Glue a 4"to2" reducer onto that followed by a short piece of 4' ABS, and then a 4" cap. Drill holes in the cap and short section of 4", and deburr before assembling with glue. The K&N part # for the Precharger is 22-8044PK (5" diameter, 7" long) Cheap but a little time consuming. Sure beats $130-250 though.

what size of holes are you guys using when making the aircleaner? I have heard a couple horror stories of guys getting ice into the turbo impeller. Gonna make one up just not sure on hole size.....thanks, Hey as well whats the differebce between ABS and PCV pipe?
