TRS Clutch Kit Components

So, if I'm to help out my friend with his Axys 163 3" and boondocker set @ 7#, would 74gr be about right?

Low elevation, like smelling the sea when we start our sleds.. up to 1500-2000ft, NEVER seeing more than 4500ft.

7# at sea level?

At sea level with trs kit, my 19 850 with 70g trs weights and gates belt I'm around 8300 rpm. That's in 3-4' of deep wet coat snow. So would be trs 72g with stock belt.

I need to mention that when changing weights if the weight profile is different it will change your belt clearance. thus will change your clutch balance.

yes we ask for belts or give us your belt number , we also ask for the weights your using if you change from stock..as we have a all Polaris belts in stock...I would have to ask how often do you change your shim? balance individually does not balance the clutch when all together, I get clutches that have balance individually and they are as far off as stock clutches. I can show balance sheets from balanced individually, like your TSS secondary, or customers individually balanced P85, and see where they are..

Are you truing/balancing the weights? There is a difference in an individual weights density, that can’t be trued. I’ve seen Polaris weights installed from the factory nearly a gram difference between them.
The springs are off balance also and that should bring us to the conclusion, a spring change would need a rebalance. Look at a stock 120-320 primary spring, the coil wind isn’t consistent. It opens drastically on one end. Clocking/indexing the springs repeatedly would need to be considered along with individual weight locations when serviced.
As you know, there are a lot of component irregularities that add to this equation.

We do true up the weights, I have not seen any Polaris weights more than .,5-6 tenth off..in regards to the spring the first thing we do is go to the belt sander and take off that sharp end of the spring on both ends..They dig into the spider and or cover and could cause distortion...Being the spring is so close to the center of the clutch it won't effect the balance as much as if it where one the outside of the clutch..let me just say the secondary clutches are further off than the primaries, and they are not indexed..You need both balanced to get them working efficiently...

Looking for Tony's clutch alignment video. Did I miss it in this thread or is it in a different thread?
