Good God man, are you really that stupid?
In America your INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. The only reason this is getting blown out of per portion is because the race card is being thrown. Come on people the race card thing is so 20 years ago. It is not an issue of race it's an issue of a rent a cop with a hard on and a kid full of piss and vinegar that got in a fight and somebody got shot. It happens everyday so why is this case so special.....because someone had to throw the race card!
Correct me if Im wrong but wasnt sweet little trayvon living with other family because he had been repeated trouble while living with his parents?
1. It is NOT illegal to be a wannabe cop
2. It is NOT illegal to follow someone you deem suspicious in your community. Especially being they've had multiple break-ins lately
3. It IS illegal to jump the person that is "following" you & beat his head into the concrete while screaming "I'm going to f*ck*ng kill you"
4. It is NOT illegal to defend yourself with deadly force when you deem your life is in imminent danger.
That is really all that matters. When it comes to things like kids being stupid, smoking pot, etc...I'm pretty liberal....whatever. The issue here is the gov allowed itself to be pressured in to charging the guy with no case to stand on.Step 1: Remove emotion (getting harder for me at the moment)
Step 2: Look at what FACTS are available. Which are FEW.
Step 3: Realize that anything other than complete acquittal would have been abuse of justice based on LAWS and the concept of self defense.
Step 4: Realize that this wasn't going to court for these very reasons until our messed up system of ELECTED (ie subject to outside pressure, unlike the appointed prosecutors in England) prosecutors was told by the governor to make it an issue. It has been stated by numerous lawyers in here and in England that this would not have seen a courtroom in their system and shouldn't have here. There wasn't sufficient evidence to PROVE who started it and who was defending themselves. Reasonable doubt was easy.
Step 5: As above, INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Correct, however, if you were following someone, tried to ask them a question, and he/she escalates it to a physical altercation, you are not obligated to sit there and let him beat you to death.Actually it is illegal to follow someone. If you follow them to the point that they are scared or threatened it is assault. (Battery once you touch them). Anyone who disagrees, how would you feel if a random guy was following your wife around or your child? Still okay with that?
I'm sure he is the first 16/17 year old that ever had problems growing up. Probably the first kid who ever smoked pot as well.
