Hold on everybody, clearly this guy knows a lot more about this case than the jury. Clearly they were wrong to clear him of the charges.

2. It is NOT illegal to follow someone you deem suspicious in your community. Especially being they've had multiple break-ins lately

I'm sure he is the first 16/17 year old that ever had problems growing up. Probably the first kid who ever smoked pot as well.

Step 1: Remove emotion (getting harder for me at the moment)
Step 2: Look at what FACTS are available. Which are FEW.
Step 3: Realize that anything other than complete acquittal would have been abuse of justice based on LAWS and the concept of self defense.
Step 4: Realize that this wasn't going to court for these very reasons until our messed up system of ELECTED (ie subject to outside pressure, unlike the appointed prosecutors in England) prosecutors were told by the governor to make it an issue. It has been stated by numerous lawyers here and in England that this would not have seen a courtroom in their system and shouldn't have here. There wasn't sufficient evidence to PROVE who started it and who was defending themselves. Reasonable doubt was easy.
Step 5: As above, INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Step 6: Step 5 WORKED FOR OJ AFTER HE KILLED TWO WHITE PEOPLE. But where were the protests then? That's right, the streets were filled with celebrating black people. Racist? Seen a mirror?
I have worked with many similar types of "kids" post-perferation in the ED and I can tell you that they are NOT innocent. They lost that way before I was done playing with hot wheels cars. This kid had recently assaulted a bus driver. The HATE is unbelievable. For everything. It is the only emotion they have developed. I was busy compressing a bleeding wound on one kid when he attempted to punch me in the face several times telling me to "get my cracker hands off of him." Nice. Really nice. Wanted to let him bleed out. Glad for sedatives with that guy for sure.
I hear over and over again about how the black people have been dealt such an awful card in life. Them personally? Maybe a few, but I offer a couple points:
1) When my ancestors came from Ireland and Armenia they were not welcome. They were second class and lower citizens. The German side was hated and not trusted during the war years. They worked to the top. That's right, WORKED. And were grateful for success. My family still believes in working hard to get anywhere respectable in life.
2) Black Entertainment Television, etc. Where is the white version?
3) Which group of individuals in this country doesn't qualify for any group specific scholarships? White males. That is it. Uh...that's fair right? Cuz your inability to do well in school is my fault? Wrong.
4) If they weren't here, where would they be? That's right! Africa. Is that REALLY where you still want to be right now? I mean REALLY?
I am waiting for the day that there is a grateful attitude for what they have. What we ALL have here. They have so much compared with so many people in the world. It is sad to think that many of those poorer folk have such a happy outlook in comparison. They understand the concept of thankfulness.

That is really all that matters. When it comes to things like kids being stupid, smoking pot, etc...I'm pretty liberal....whatever. The issue here is the gov allowed itself to be pressured in to charging the guy with no case to stand on.
The only thing that matters in the case AT ALL is that the prosecution never had enough evidence to prove murder 2 beyond a reasonable doubt. Leaving emotion out of it, that's as far as the explanation needs to go. They had nothing even semi-solid to refute the claim of self defense, then going to murder 2 instead of manslaughter was the nail in the states' coffin. Like you say, anything other than a full acquittal just doesn't work by the letter of the law/court process. You can't put a guy away for the rest of his damn life based on "what if's" and "I believe's." If you want a system like that, move to Somalia or some other sh1thole of your choosing....it just doesn't work like that in the developed world. Of course, no one wants that, because that's how you wind up in the slammer for some sh1t you didn't do.
PS: the OJ comparison is def a good one!

Actually it is illegal to follow someone. If you follow them to the point that they are scared or threatened it is assault. (Battery once you touch them). Anyone who disagrees, how would you feel if a random guy was following your wife around or your child? Still okay with that?
Zimmerman wasn't in a marked "community watch" vehicle. Just his own vehicle, so no one knew who he was.

Correct, however, if you were following someone, tried to ask them a question, and he/she escalates it to a physical altercation, you are not obligated to sit there and let him beat you to death.
True. Being STALKED is illegal. I'm not sure you can say that FOLLOWING someone is illegal. I am aware of no law stating how far away from a person one must be if they do not touch them. That is the realm of a restraining order. Which requires a burden of proof. Again, the innocent/guilty thing. A person certainly can be told to back away, but on a public road or sidewalk I have every bit as much right to the space you are on as you do. Ah, freedom.
Most of us did. My folks never sent me away however . Point is I think he gets more credit than he deserves . I think I read he had been charged with assault prior . Maybe he was the one who is to blame ? The jurors seemed to se it that way .

Of course we wouldn't have heard about it. Since the date of the gz/tm incident to trial there's been over 11,000 black males that have been killed. 96% of those deaths were black on black. If it wasn't for the rainbow coalition aka "the reparation express" turning this into a white on black crime we'd never would have heard about it.
BTW Zimmerman isn't white & I'll tell you why. Even though he shot a black man in self-defence he still couldn't be a member of the KKK, Arian Nation or any other "whites only" groups. He was put in this spot cause he's "white looking". He & his wife mentored 2 black girls & he also protested shoulder to shoulder with blacks against a racist cop in Sanford.
Now that the trial is over there is lots of info coming out on what was on Treyvon's phone & let me tell you he's NO SAINT. I almost hope that they file a civil suit against Zimmerman so everyone can see just what a wanna be thug Treyvon was.
