SANFORD — Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.
Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald.
A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver, calling the information in the report an attempt to “demonize” the youth.
According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School spotted Trayvon and two other students writing “W.T.F.,” an acronym for “What the f—,” on a hallway locker, according to schools police. The security employee, who knew Trayvon, confronted the teen and looked through his bag for the graffiti marker.
Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.
Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.
“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.
School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.
“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by Miami-Dade Schools Police.
That suspension was followed four months later by another one, in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family’s attorney has confirmed. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

While most of us work very hard to show our belief that every race is equal and that we are not racist, we see that the same lessons are not tought or believed in the Black Community. Over compensate to the Black Community and time and again work to prove we are not racist. Most of us have worked very hard over the years and been overtaxed for the benifit of the Black Community, but at EVERY opportunity the Blacks have proven that its a one way street. They can see that Homobama has been a total failure for four years, but they run to the polls in mass to put him back in office, just because he is half black. Never mind that he is destroying our country and pilling up debts that will not be paid for twenty to thirty years and then by people not yet born. I have come to realize that the Blacks are in it for themselves and its high time that the rest of us wake up and react.

if blacks don't want to be profiled then maybe their parents should raise them right instead of letting them all run around and play gangsta. I know if one of my kids acted like that it would end very quickly. they need to change their mentality. remember when I first went into the military and got to listen to some of the "brothers" talk their bs. if some guy called their sister a whore instead of acting like a man and confronting the guy face to face they thought it was ok to do a drive by of the guys house. anyone who has that kind of mentality needs to be profiled. I say send them all to Chicago and let them shoot each other. natures way of thinning the heard...
We don't know anything about TM past record. He is a juvenile and the state sealed the records which is standard for a trial. The victim was not on trial. His record means nothing, per law.
I don't think Zimmerman was in danger. He put his life in danger by chasing down a scared kid.
If that was your son who was walking home, would you be okay with a grown man chasing him down after following him for blocks?
I think the verdict is correct, there was not enough evidence to prosecute. Seeing the evidence now, it should have never went to trial. Dead people don't talk. But we have heard the 911 tape. But that's not enough to prosecute

Ummm.......I Disagree. We are what until proven guilty...Innocent. He may be guilty of other crimes and if so he should have been charged but to say he isnt innocent is incorrect in the eyes of the law. A jury of his peers ruled he wasn't guilty of the charges brought against him.

Exactly. The media and the race baiters pushed for a murder 2 charge and that's ultimately what got GZ off. There was never enough evidence for a murder charge; if they would have filed a lesser charge, the chances of a conviction would have been SIGNIFICANTLY higher. It's not about whether the kid was good, bad or ugly. It's not about race. It's about if there is any evidence to disprove GZ's claim of self defense....or more so, prove that he set out with malicious intent to kill TM. None of that "what if it was your kid" crap matters. The fact that the state allowed the press and idiots like Sharpton to bully them into launching what they should have known was a doomed case, is a joke. TM's supporters were their own worst enemies with regard to getting GZ some jail time.
Everyone on the prosecution side overreacted once the race card was pulled and thought they could circumvent the legal system with emotion. The judge and jurors acted logically given the info they had.

I agree with that part of your definition of innocent. That's the point I was trying to convey though. I agree with the verdict and think justice prevailed, but the events leading up to those charges certainly lead a person to believe that complete innocence is not the case on either side. Just looking at it from both sides.
As far as this movement to 'honor TM', the race baiters just keep sinking that hook deeper and deeper into the sheeple. I don't always agree with Ted, but I like his attitude of putting the P/C bullshiz aside and saying what a lot of others would like to say.
