TRADE IN PRICES?

MH has a post on this subject that is new like today so you need to read it.
but yes you should get the '14 belt and it will fit your '13.

And yes the clamp comes standard although Poo doesn't really think it's needed but people made such a big deal out of the drive shaft failures they are putting them on anyway.
Am I just off center here? Doesn't it seem odd that a new sled that hasn't even been built yet, will come with a muffler clamp on the drive shaft to keep it from grenading? :face-icon-small-con

There will be many small refinements that they don't tell us always is. I normally trade every other year if I like a sled and its been good to me 3 years on the other hand if its a turd it usually doesn't make the season. 2500$ to 3000$ is the going rate for 1 year. It usually cost me 5000$ to 6000$ to trade 3 years.

Yikes, $6000.00 that is a big hit just to have a warranty. Your getting a longer track granted...but...thats alot of cash.

How many KM on your 12?
Welcome to Canada! Everything costs more up here.I am going up 2 model years,so the benefit of the shorter seat, better running boards,163,es,color choice. I also have a good career and the hit is not that big a deal.but we do get hosed up here

I here ya on the prices in Canada, I am up in Northern BC. I actually purchased my 2012 Pro (350 miles) last spring used from a Fella in KTown. He purchased it from M&M. Saved a bit of money on tax and his asking price.

I agree you are upgrading quite a bit by going with a 14. It should be a solid year for the Pro.

Are you serious? The drive shaft has a clamp on it?
MH.....On the QD belt. If want a spare for my 2013 I should buy a 2014 Belt?
Sorry for getting off subject...........

:focus:

I was going to go for a left over '13 as well. That's all fine if you plan on staying with it for a while. The '13 is already a year old, if, you were to buy it this year and decided to trade up again next year, it would loose $5,000. Does not make sense to me!!

If you have a high mileage 2013 sled and want something "fresh"... good way to go.

If you have a good condition 2013... Upgrade to the C3 drive...

OR...

Upgrade to the new 2014 belt... and have the Outback Machine (Happy Face Products) drive shaft "blueprint service" on the complete Quckdrive setup (jackshaft, bearings, driveshaft, pulleys etc).

If the Q-drive belt is 40% stronger, do they have it available now? And if not, why not? Same question with all of the other upgrades. Given the situation out there, what could they be waiting on?

QDrive belt... claimed by Polaris 25-40% stronger.

Not available now... probably because it takes time for production, IMO.

" what could they be waiting on? "

Simple answer... 2014 Production.

I personally like the snow check over a blow out 2013...pick the 4 year warranty...some dealers add to the trade value for remaining warranty...it is good for all involved...a win - win situation....even if sold private, a 1 or 2 year old sled with 2 or 3 years of warranty packs value...:face-icon-small-hap

Disagree. Last year we watched sled prices very carefully and the general consensus among my riding group is that nobody will give you any more for the 4 year warranty than if you have a two. It is a selling point but not worth any money. Unless you plan on keeping it over 2 years I would say get the 2 year and save yourself the money. The used sled buyers wont give anyone remotely close to what the sleds should be worth anyway why help them out by having a bunch of used sleds with warranties for them to buy! haha

My salesman gave me 200 more for my 4 year warranty. He thought I had a 2 year but when I told him I had a 4 year he gave me 200 more on trade.

I talked to my dealer the other day, 5 grand to boot for a 14 with a 12 trade in, they are NUTS!

Sure would be nice if a dealer up here took trade ins. We have to sell our old junk ourselves! Who wants an 11 163? Only ridden on Sundays to church and back by a little old lady???

Contacted Durango Fun Center about trading in my 12' Retro 163" with 665 miles on a 14' and they wouldn't take a trade. Guess I'll ride the 12' another year.

No trades...

Tried trading wifes 2013 PRO RMK 600 155ES to local dealer for an 800 - wouldn't even look at it, and it only has 500 miles, and it is in showroom condition with two sets of panels...funny thing is when I snowchecked it, I told them I figured she'd want an 800 for the following year, to which he said: "No problem, we'll give you top $$$ for it in trade". Carl's Cycle will be selling a 660 kit for it once the snow melts.

trade

I'd love to trade my 13 for a 14 for $2300 difference. Wang did you deal with Action?
