I am probably lookin at getting a new track, currently have the 2.75 165. My snow is coastal so its usually powder for a couple days then sets up firmer. I know there is lots of chat across multiple threads on tracks but my main questions are:
1) whats the difference between the doo, lynx and lx300?
2) what your choice and why

Thanks

The 300lx is basically the new freeride track but its clipped on every window and doesnt have the center ports like the doo’s. The 300lx/freeride lug and lug pattern is a little different too. Its noticeable when you have them side by side. Im running the 300lx and it hooks up way better than the 2.75. Definitely trenches a bit more tho, id say its worth the trade off. The new 3.25 is also a good track.

I havent looked, but i take it that i wont have to change my drivers to run a 300lx?
No its a direct drop in if you had the 2.75 using 3.5 pitch drivers.

I found the LX300 to work better while holding boost and carrying momentum, for climbing and tearing through the trees with speed there is a huge gain in traction. From a stop it will trench until it finds something to grab. kind of annoying but you learn to carry speed.

The 2.75 is great for low speed technical riding in soft cold snow which is not common on the west coast. With big power or heavy snow the 2.75 lugs seem to just fold over and not do too much. If your on the boost or in heavy snow often the LX300 is a huge difference in performance with the stiffer lugs.
