TRA Clutch Question

Will a TRA clutch off a 2003 zx 700 fit on an 08 XP?

2003 should be a splined shaft, the 2008 should be a taper fit. No it won't fit.

The splines or taper are in the clutch internally. Its how the governor cup mounts to the fixed sheeve. The taper for mounting to the motors is the same.

I swear my nephew told me a buddy tried it when the 07 clutching issues were new, and it didn't fit, my bad!!!

As hymark said, the splines are internal on the tra where the gov. cup slides onto the fixed sheave, the taper is on the back side of the fixed sheave that slides onto the crank.

Don't know if the 07 pto taper is same as 03, I know they changed the sheave angle in the past, that may be where you run into prblems??
