Took my 12 yr old sledding today - I think he liked it!!

He drove with me behind him for a couple laps, then took over. Within 5 minutes, he was doing track spinning corner slides and trying for air. (too bad Dad can't run the camera better)

He said, "Man you can sure spin donuts easy on the packed road"

I think he is a natural. No sit down riding in this family:D

Guess I had better get serious about finding a real sled. He is going to wear my "vintage" sled out.

Very cool, This is something that when your kids turn into men, they will remember these times for ever. Dino

Nothing better than riding with the family! :) It is a special time that will ALWAYS be remembered.

My little guy rode for the first time this year also. I think I got just as big of a kick out of it as he did

My dad put me between his knees in 1976 and we rode for a couple years like that...I bought that sled from him later on and that's how it all started. I loved it from the beginning. That's how you do it.

My daughter got on her sled last New Years for the first time....and with in minutes, she owned it by herself. She had a blast on Seeley Lake for at least 3 tanks of gas in those two days...and it was barely -5°. LOL

So what if it's an XC 120...it's modded and piped and faster than you think....she fricken had a blast on it. She was just 6 then. She even stood up and tried to body lean. I think she learns fast.

My son was on it, and at the time he was 3....he was all over it too, until he turned too sharp and dumped us both at about 15 or so mph. HAHA.

Why'd ya wait till he was 12? HEHE!!
