The WY sticker enforcement wrote tickets to my group who did not have Wy permits, but waved the fine after they sent in proof of purchase of a permit. Very reasonable. They achieve what they need to by doing this. They get the permit money for their state and don't piss off out of staters by being unreasonable, expecially for those of us who were unaware of there permit law. After all, they want us to come back and visit.

I think alot of permit sellers are confused on the VIN issue this year (for WY sticker). When I got mine, no VIN required. Told my dad not to worry about taking his VIN's with him when he goes to get his. Guess what, a week later dad goes to get his, from the same place I got mine, person behind the counter asks for his VIN's. So the guy behind the counter and my dad are arguing about whether or not VIN's were required untill someone else who worked there informed the employee that they are not required this year. Haven't had a ticket, but did get a polite warning last year for not having a sticker on a Mini Z up at Bear Lodge last year.
