To the "ready to ride" a-hole on RE today

All you guys keep it in mind when you are on the Grand Mesa you are more than welcome to come to Thunder Mountain Lodge to park whenever you would like. Huge lot with lots of room.

That's a very awesome offer. We were gonna come down Friday but the snow kept falling up here, so we opted to stay home and ride RE. Hindsight is 20/20.

Thurs was insane! MC lot wasn't plowed so everyone parked on the side of the road, and in near whiteout conditions it was suuuuper safe... I spoke with a couple peeps trying to squeeze in and what not, everyone was pretty descent about it. Glad you IA boys didn't get shut out completely, IA boys get special treatment from me, fam and wife is from Sidney ;)

Almost witnessed another semi trailer vs sledder again.

Ralph, I'm pretty sure if you had the extra time/money you would go where the snow is also (out of state). Some non-locals want to come enjoy some snow its fine, we live here and have the pleasure of rideing "everytime" its good. :face-icon-small-win

I'd GTFO and do what Chris Brown did. Move to REVY!!

Come on, Come on, no time like the present. You are more than welcome. Remember, no one ever said they wished they had worked more!

LOL. High hopes to end that tortuous rut every Weds and Saturday.

If the guy was such a douche, why didn't you take 45 seconds and get a pic of him and his truck. Then post it up for a public shaming, that seems to work pretty well if you really want to get a point across.

Yea, I thought about that after the fact. I was shocked that he was such an azz and then started thinking about how I was going to turn around with a 3 place behind me, lots of traffic, and snowy conditions. He was in a gold dodge pickup truck probably early 2000 riding an old rev. A pick would have been great though. Also, would have classified him in the overdressed parking lot poser thread. Alas, next time!

I have not rode RE since 2004. It was a mess back then and I am sure the traffic is even higher today. Is it still a minimal parking if you want to call it that off the west side of the road? I would of guessed it would of been expanded by now???

Dave, that is a great idea, I'm gonna do that with the FS........oh, wait, I don't have that much film!

All this talk makes me glad to live in SW CO-far away from any major population center. No people and usually better snow. When I go to my favorite riding spots-even on the weekends I'm surprised if there are 4 or 5 other vehicles.

You said it brother! I spent 4 seasons riding Mancos, Molas, Beaver Meadows, Wolf Creek, and Chama and parking WAS NEVER EVER even a concern! Now I get freaked out if I dont see 100 rigs at the Range and 50 at the Ears.
