Isn't it a shame - Ed McMahon, Gale Storm, Harve Presnell, Farah Fawcett, Karl Malden, Fred Travelena, all legitimate stars in their own right - and all we get is Michael Jackson 24/7. The other REAL stars get only a slight mention on some of the major networks, nothing on others. And below we have another 'star' that you will never hear of . . . .

Ed Freeman

You're a 19-year-old kid. You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam . Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.

You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out.. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter and you look up to see an unarmed Huey, but it doesn't seem real because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.

Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.

He's coming anyway.

And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire as they load 2 or 3 of you on board.

Then he flies you up and out, through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses.

And he kept coming back, 13 more times, and took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.

Medal of Honor Recipient Ed Freeman died on Wednesday, June 25th, 2009, at the age of 80, in Boise , ID. May God rest his soul.

Medal of Honor Winner
Ed Freeman!
Since the media didn't give him the coverage he deserves, send this to every red-blooded American you know.

THANKS AGAIN, ED, FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR OUR COUNTRY.
RIP

^^^ Agreed with above.

Plus, keep in mind congress and the administration like big distractions such as M.J., so they can draw attention of the media and public away from what they are doing to further tax us or limit freedoms.

Conspiracy? No. Many examples of this in the past.

Here for the snopes police, is this better?

Pfc. Justin Aaron Casillas

19, of Dunnigan, Calif.; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska; died July 4 at Combat Outpost Zerok, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked the outpost using small arms and indirect fires. Also killed was Pfc. Aaron E. Fairbairn.

DUNNIGAN, Calif. — Pentagon officials say a soldier from Yolo County was killed on July 4 during an insurgent attack in Afghanistan.

Nineteen-year-old Pfc. Justin Aaron Casillas was one of two soldiers killed when a truck bomb exploded at Combat Outpost Zerok. Also killed was 20-year-old Pfc. Aaron Fairbairn of Aberdeen, Wash.

The attack also injured seven other U.S. soldiers.

Casillas and Fairbairn were assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) of the 25th Infantry Division based at Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Casillas, of Dunnigan, was a paratrooper who had been deployed only four months. He graduated from Pierce High School in Arbuckle last year.

Died:
July 04, 2009

the point here is not when, or why, but the person that passed, Michael was a nothing, did nothing for this country, but get treated as if Jesus died, that is BS, these soldiers deserve the attention, not michael.

I disagree. Those soldiers signed up to die. That was there job. Im sad that there are people dying in Iraq, but thats what happens when you sign up for the army. I have disagreed with the Iraq war from the start, and i actually think that we are making things a lot worse by being there. I would never enlist in the American Military because it is controlled by a corrupt government, and i REALLY dont want to die in a 120 degree desert halfway across the world to defend Bush's oil reserves and fight imaginary terrorists. Michael Jackson was a hero to millions of people around the WORLD, not just the US. A lot of people like music more than war, so they feel sorry when a compassionate giving individual dies, and not a soldier. Its about his MUSIC,not his personal life. If someone invaded the US, i would fight the occupation. But this preemptive, spreading democracy, fighting terror is just BS.

I dont have the words, that story made me go misty.

May God bless his soul and may his memory stay with his fellow Americans. There is a special place in heaven for men of his caliber.

J-fly, if you dont like it, GTFO! I, nor did any of my brothers and sisters in arms sign up to "die". I could go on and on about how you are an unpatriotic Son ofa B!tch, but thats pretty obvious. Do NOT come on a thread about honoring the people who have died for your country and have bled together countless times and try to tell us that a soldier signs up to die.

Your entire paragraph could be summed up by saying that mj was more important to this country than the men and women who defend her. That kind of thinking is the EXACT reason why this country is falling apart.

WTF is wrong with you? it's no one's job to die and that's not what they signed up for. they signed up to serve their country and protect everything that we enjoy, including your right to sit and rock on your nuts, smoke dope and pretend you're somebody because you run some sh*tty pizza joint.

You Anti-American cacksucker. You would never enlist in the military because you are a pus$y, not because of the reasons you stated. Your parents raised a real piece of work. It's a damm good thing the internet exists so you can express your opinions, because if you said that out loud you'd get punched.
