It sounds like there's a lot of haters and jealous people in this thread. Some of you are trying to compare an average, casual player's swing to Tiger's swing too. Watch his swing in slow motion and tell me he's not an athlete. $100 says nobody on this site can swing a club like he can.
BS! I watched the whole tournament and he winced after several good shots that were straight down the fairway. He didn't wince after every bad shot either.
Jack has 18 Majors, Tiger has 14, he is 4 away.

Racing, golfing, screwing, whatever can be done w/ an ACL injury. But you risk more, maybe permanent, damage if it's not healed. He's obviously doing the right thing to get it fixed. His goal is to be the best. By best, I mean 19 majors (only 5 away).

Rick Ryan won the Daytona SX with a wood screw thru his boot into his knee brace to hold it from turning because the hole knee was shot in the 90's All kinds of stroys like that!! I also races the 2nd moto after I riped out my ACL and cartlage in the first moto because there was points to be made and I was in the hunt for the Championship so I HAD to do it.
Some people can just deal with pain better than others, I am glad I can.

Not jealous at all, All I ever said is you DO NOT need to be some great Athlete to win at Golf. There are Many Fat out of shape people that have won on the PGA seen.
IMO physically it is an easy thing to do compared to many sports.
I respect Tiger as prolly the best at Golf I just don't think its tough Physically.

I agree with redlineguy, look at John Daly, he' not excactly a finely tuned athlete and he does pretty well at hitting the @#$%^ ball!
There's a lot more fat out of shape guys that have Super Bowl rings. There's fat guys that have been world champion boxers, and UFC fighters. All I'm trying to say is there's fat guys everywhere, that doesn't mean you can twist & turn like a professional golfer. I guarentee big John D is more flexible than you or 90% of the people on here. That's why he can hit the ball 350 yards.
Johnny Miller is the Dick Vitale of Golf. Guy rips on anybody who doesn't hit a perfect shot, including Tiger.
So Chubby your saying someone like your wife who weights 850LBS is an athlete if she is Flexible?? Chubby...yes she is Flexibe ( BTW stop sending me pics of her in strange positions
) but she can't even walk past the fridge without taking a break!! The only thing athletic about her is her athlete's Foot from sweating like a PIG!!.

While his occupation may not be "tough physically", have you looked at the guy lately? In the past year or so, it looks like he's gone from eating cookies on the couch all day, to working out 3 times a day. Something tells me you wouldn't call TW a b!tch to his face and win the ensuing battle...
btw, next time I see Tiger I'll ask him if he can sign a golf ball for you.

I don't think anyone is denying that there are fat, out of shape fellas playing in the PGA. I just think that the guys who are saying Tiger is not up to par with other professional athletes need to take a second look at the guy. He is a better role model then 99% of them, and does it all with class. He makes +$100 million/year to hit a little white ball....how can anyone not respect that? Don't you all want to make as much as you can and do as little as possible to earn it? I know I do.

When John Daly was winning, he looked more like this. He hasn't been able to compete for several years now. I don't think he's even made a cut in a major in a few years. He used to be in pretty good shape about 15 years ago.
I never said he is not a great athlete all I said is you don't need to be to be good at Golf.
