We did the loop from Visitors Center to Leon Lake via Big Creek. Then around to Wier & Johnson and back to the VC. East of Big Creek had by far the most snow. Approx. 30"-34" on the old logging roads. Not bad at all in the trees.

It still needs a bunch more before the "big sleds" come out to play.

Sammy, "Big Sleds" LOL. Nice to hear that snow report.
Mark

Yep, the "big pulls" are still a loooooooooong way from rideable.

Still fun in the trees. Mark, get that "smurf" going and head up. I bet you could "ferett" out some good snow.

Sam

Another great day with Powderpatrol. The Doo woke up about 20 miles in today and it she's comin' alive. After two rides i'm getting used to the Doo chassis and I like it, big change from my Poo and Cat. Another good dump on "Baxter Pass" LOL and we'll be in good shape.
Ray, what happened to the pic of your first stuck of the season???????
Mark

funny thing, that pic didn't turn-out kinda blurry not worth posting

check out Mark's counter-steering---that's good for a thread in itself!..lol
glad you are back to ridin' mark! so where are we riding tomorrow?

the DOO is rockin, should be a killer in the trees and climb like ape, but we will see now won't we?
My question is how do ya turn that thing? Feels like a yellow school bus on nitro-methane, waaaaaa! waaaaaa!

A few pics from Saturday

Got up and ran the Lil Six for the first time...thanks to 800Extreme and Bohica for all the tuning help, the sled absolutely rips. Again, thanks! Put on about 35 miles, nothing broken, great day. Still really thin in most areas, gotta look for the pow but it's there. Great to be up riding finally!:D :beer;

Holy Sh*t

Powderpatrol and I went up today. The snotel was showing about 10 in of fresh. I hate it when the snotels lie. I'll let Ray's pics show the rest. Should be up shortly.

ray on a doo

Notice here that Powderpatrol is throwing his leg over a Doo. After trashing the meadow and burning up a half tank of gas he gave the sled back to me. The only comment he made was, "Ridin that Doo is like Cheatin'!!!!!!!!
LMFAO. Best compliment I've ever had!

Need MORE snow before we hit the BIG stuff.

Sam

It's crazy how much base we need on the Mesa before we can ride the steep stuff. Hopefully this next storm will be nice to us.
