A buddy and myself will be making our first snowmobiling trip over Christmas - Dec. 23-26 - coming all the way from southeast Missouri. As rookies, we will confine ourselves to the trails in all probability. We may only have enough funds to snowmobile for 2 days. Can anyone suggest some trails that would be "must see"? I've looked at the map and there is so many trails to choose from but I can't find a website with descriptions. I have had 1 suggestion of the Vega Reservoir trail. There appears to be a trail to Land's End, which is suppose to be an awesome sight. We are in our late 40's/early 50s and plan to use the snowmobiles as more of a taxi to sight see. We are also hoping to be able to do some night riding - full moon on Dec. 28th. Any advice for some first timers would be greatly appreciated. One dumb question - how far can we go on a tank of gas?

GO CARDS - game 7 tonight vs. Giants!!!

Lands End Trail is a cake walk, but also has some play areas you can see from the trail to include large meadows. We usually go that way when we take new riders out for thier first trip. The view from Lands End is spectacular and definately worth the ride. Grand Mesa Lodge is on that trail and has regular gas and race gas. A ride from Thundermountain Lodge to Electric Mountain Lodge is also an excellant sightseeing trip.

Looking forward to something TML after Christmas. We have a group that wants to get out and ride the Mesa.
