THUNDER MOUNTAIN LODGE SNOW REPORT #5

It sounds like a storm is coming, but not sure if it is going to hit the Mesa. I sure hope it does. I'm taking the gf up there fri-sun. Staying at tml. Bring on the fresh!!!!

Rode yesterday. The snow has settled from last weeks storm, the boondocking was fantastic. Stayed in the trees most of the day and found some nice pockets of fresh.

So how warm has it been out there the past few days? Coming from MN, be there Sunday a.m. Are we going to have superman snow or will we be able to find some pockets of powder?

Still some good snow to be found on the "MESA". 03-11-12 with Ray, Ryan and Mason. "Black Swan" sighting too!!!!!!!!!!:moony:

Nice shots Mark. We were up Saturday. Poked around Hidden Valley and over towards Big Creek. Found good stuff. Lots of untracked if you know where to look (pulls in Hidden Valley, LOL).

Sam, I heard you ventured into Hidden. It seems that the snowpack has stabalized a lot. :face-icon-small-hap

Yea, it was better than the previous week that's for sure. Still had an uneasy feeling and only popped a few climbs. It better snow some more or this heat is really going to do a number on the remaining snow. This week is not looking pretty right now. Seibold left for Priest Lake and Sand Point ID this morning. Supposed to be snowing BIG up there now.

Shawn just texted me from BC. Snow report. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEP and DUUUUMPING! Hopefully we'll have a good spring. Hard to complain about this weather in the valley though.

Tucked between Hidden and the Cottonwoods. Just came upon it while we were exploring. Should be named Hidden #2 as you can't see it until you drop into it.

Its right around 120 miles Mark. I rode it once and Kindra rode it once. Yea, it's just like new. Did not even have a chance to boost it.:face-icon-small-ton
