THUNDER MOUNTAIN LODGE SNOW REPORT 4

[BOHICA]

As I pulled into the lodge today Mark was clearing nearly a foot of fresh from the lot. Billy came out and mentioned that it had been windy as hell during the storm which led me to think the trees and south sides of the meadows would have some decent snow. Here's what Brian and I found!

That deserves more than a smile!! About time the snow comes. I see the forecast is looking much better. Keep it coming, I want to get out there and hit some good snow, then visit Billy and give him some business! No doubt he will fill my belly and top it off with multiple intoxicated evenings! Less than 2 weeks away!

I wish. Sled is in the shop. Put a fence post thru the track the other day. Hopefully have it by next weekend. You guys go tear it up. Looks like .5 in of moisture since the storm started this morning. Could be deep tomorrow. Take some Pics!!!!

Probably ride the Turbo Pro tomorrow. The Tapex is running WELL.

Bummer about your sled. Would be nice to ride with you. It's been a couple of years now. We will hook up soon.

Should be the best day on the Mesa so far this year! Snotel is showing 2.3 inches of moisture with the snow depth increasing from 37in to 58in. Should be able to find pockets of some snorkel deep pow. Enjoy

Grand Mesa got pounded all day yesterday and overnight with a lot of wind. I have 3-4' drifts in the parking lot. The backcountry should be unreal. The Mesa is back in business with excellant snow cover. Over 24" since yesterday morning and it is still snowing. Bring your long tracks, you are gonna need em! I'll post some pics later on.

Hwy. 65 is closed to the north from us to Powderhorn. Should reopen by 2pm. I guess a big avy on the north wall. Be careful people!
