Still trying to decide which pipe and can to put on my new xp. What do you guys think of CPI? How do they compare to hps or slp?

Never ran a CPI pipe and would be scared to. The welds look like a Monkey did it with its eyes closed. Man oh man. But seriously i looked into them, and i read alot about the welds cracking and what not. On the good side i heard the company replaced all of the problemed ones no hassel.
Anyone have a sound clip of a CPI double stinger can on a 800R?

So it sounds like to me that the cpi products arent as well made as the slp, and that explains why they cheeper.

Avoiding the CPI, crappy construction.
SLP for me! Have always been happy with the sound(not to loud),performance,& construction of their stuff.
Claiming 11hp in the midrange, 5hp up top. If you add the head-another 6+hp.
Friends & customers have never had any complaints, many repeats sales also.

I just recieved and installed a new cpi can with dual stingers on my 09 800 xp. The sound that it produces is awsome. I can only run it on the stand right now, but I will have to say it is the best sounding can I have ever had. I am used to mbrp and slp. Trying to go different. I weighed stock and cpi and their claimed is right on at a 10 lb. weight savings. The welds, which there are a lot of, I would consider acceptable. It does not look like monkey welds or what some people would call them. From what tests say this can does drop hp levels more than other cans, but the price for the can is a lot less than the other cans. I guess it is all on how you look at it.
