This weekend near Monarch....

Was good! The resort reported something like 65" 12 days but it seemed deeper!!!

Was above St Elmo on Sunday. Same thing. High temps this week up here in the Banana Belt, more snow on the way?

I dont think it mattered where you were fri - sunday. I was up in the St Elmo Zone as well as the monarch area.. They both were great!! I hate to say it but they did get more snow as you head south.

The sleds in the pics have 3" or 4" power madd risers.. I would stick with the 3" - dont worry all the m sleds cables are long enough to put on 3" risers. Stock bars and the rest.

Monday I was skiing with the cat up at monarch.. Bluebird and no name is sweet!!!

and by noon to 1 the only soft snow left was on N facing slopes.. The entire area has been sunbaked since then.

Last night while moonlight skiing we had to go to N facing slopes to find pow.. But we did find some!!

I am still new to Colorado and learning where to ride. I usually hit Val Pass or Cottonwood because I drive from Colorado Springs. Please fill me in on Monarch. Where to park, where to ride, etc. I would really appreciate it, seems about the same drive time to Monarch as to Vail Pass.

I also was up that way yesterday and the snow is now hero sunbaked snow..

Usually the ski area does not care if you ride the area after they get a chance to clean up.... They are closing today.
