thinking of ditching cat for doo, should i

they all have made DUDS weather you admit it or not ,granted the 07 xrs was BRP'S bad one, centre crank bearing issues, clutching issue's, that was change of suppliers but still all reflects on the product, after all the updates, new motor [warrenty] there still a contender with the powder max track, ride is awsome, just my 2 cents

its like kicking a dead horse with this guy. like the others are saying stick with a proven sled. figure out why urs is having problems and fix it

I agree....

Dude, it's YOUR sled. Put your man-hands in there, and maker her work for YOU...not the other way around!!

WHO DOES NUMBER 2 WORK FOR!!!!!

"i dont need a mountain sled because i only make it to the mountains 1-2 times a year. i love the fact i can climb any thing here in saskatchewan but with us having 1-2 feet of snow max a year it isnt worth it, i am looking at a 07 skidoo xrs 800 with 1.75in track and 700 miles, what should i do"

I too live and ride for the majority of the time in Saskatchewan but when it comes time to head out west for im glad i have a mountain sled. You can drive a mountain sled anywhere a trail or crossover sled is the $hits in the and will make your buddies hate your guts after a trip out west! With some elbow grease and a few simple parts you will solve the issues your having....Or buy a doo and we will see all your threads being posted over there. If we all dumped our sleds after every minor hicup we would drive a different sled every year.

Did you have a lobotomy? Why would you buy a doo been there done that got me to switch to cat! Still have one of those pos doos at the house hate it nothing but problems made me one hell of a cusser and a sled mechanic.

well i got a 09 arctic cat m8 and i love the thing, when its not broke down, i cant seem to ride it for a full day with out having problems,i have bad clutching, blow belts every 60 miles and its always breaking somthing,it does catwalks good but im so jelous of the skidoo riders, i dont need a mountain sled because i only make it to the mountains 1-2 times a year. i love the fact i can climb any thing here in saskatchewan but with us having 1-2 feet of snow max a year it isnt worth it, i am looking at a 07 skidoo xrs 800 with 1.75in track and 700 miles, what should i do, im hoping to get 9000 for my sled,it has 2100miles with can,gas rack,3in riser, muff pot, fast lane side vents........help please

That would be a mistake.

9k? You can buy a new one for that

umm....buddy its canadian new there 13***. its not every little hiccup,i cant ride the ****ing peice of **** with out it breaking, took it to the dealer on a saturday because of the clutching problems it has always had, they say they got it fixed,10.7miles later its laid up again wtf

i think i have the solution to your problem. sell that thing for a realistic 7grand "AMERICAN" then nut up and go to your dealer and have them get a 2010 M8 SP ready for you and all your problems will be solved.

have a 09 m8 no clutch problems stock belt lasted 1500 American miles completely bone stock went to the proper clutching for the altitude i ride at no problems at all. there are plenty of forums on here the cat crowd is the most knowledgeable and helpfull forum on this place make sure you have the right clutching and that your clutches are lined up and enjoy the awsome machine you have. All you have to do is ask and i am sure someone is having the same clutching woes as you you will get a answer. I have asked for help on the ski doo forums for my ski doo and never get any help. I do know i have nothing but problems with my doo.

THERES 2 XRS`S in town were i live one had 7800 miles before new motor on warrenty, the other got a new motor at 1300 on warrenty he also put a slp engine kit and a 162 2.25 that sled has made alot of 2010 sleds look silly

Whos your dealer Dude?

Whos your dealer? If your not too far away give Northside in Foam Lake a try...Talk to Dino...They are excellent! No reason to have trouble like your having....I have over 500 miles on my original belt and looks like the day i put it on!

clutching

Make sure your are clutched for SK.I might have beat the crap out of my 153 M7 (06).Just make sure you land on snow ,not hard dirt and you should be fine. This is alot easier on the chassis and track. The tarck seem to hold up as well.Use your head when thrsheing it and have fun.
