Thinking bout selling my m7 and going to a rev.. maybe, got questions first !!

yeah i saw that in sleds for sale a few days ago. i think its atleast worth a look. if you do decide to go look at it start it up and rev it up a few times and let it come back down to idle and see how noisy the primary is. they get pretty noisy when they need some work.
oh, and yes there were bad things about the 08's but that is a lot of miles for an xp, so it must be pretty decently put together.

I had a CF7SP with a 144 so basically an M7. I went to an 07 XRS. Differences...It took me quite a while to get the hang of the REV but now feel really comfortable on it. Like posted previously, everyone is different. My bro has an 09 M8 which is a really strong runner but the motor on my XRS is certainly stronger on the bottom end, but top end, or hillclimbing they are pretty darn close. I would not hesitate for the REV as most say it's one of the best mountain chassis ever made. As far as the 07's go, as long as the motor has been updated, you should be good to go. Now the early replacement motors with the correct crank tolerances did have the "R" stamped on the case. However, guys in my riding group on the xps do not have the "R" stamped on the case so as long as it isn't the first replacement motor, you should be good to go. I have over 1500 miles on mine and crank tolerances are still great and there is no "R" stamped on my case. Good luck in your decision!

If it has those kinda miles it needs a top end for sure and go throught the clutches and while your in the clutches get a clutch kit from winter brew on here and that thing will rip hard. $3900 sounds pretty cheap so make sure to look it over real good first. As far as for the 07's the R is stamped on the clutch side cylinder.

Ya thanks for all the replies guys, im just thinking. I love my m7 and the way it rides and im use to it and know it and have replaced a bit and done all the work know how it is and whats in it and its all gone over. Im thinking ill keep it and this summer ill put a set of twins on and a control box (pvc 5 probably) and then redo the clutching some. Also go to probably a big wheel kit and 156x15x2.5 CE and then do anti stab kit. Lastly maybe a head. I dunno its just i know what i have into this sled how its condition is and how it runs. Although some guys report a hard time with twins i think with the help of kelsey at rkt and the help of racinstation i could get it putting out some good power and the Ce 2.5 would compliment it alot. But like i said just wanted to know more have my options open if i find another sled i like for me and sell mine or if i find a new sled for my mom. Thanks again guys. Also if you have any thoughts/knowledge on the mods im planning for my m7 please comment, all thoughts are appreciated.
