the reality of the new xp like it or not

When should we go get this said latte slick? I dont think im down with the soak in the tub deal though, thats perdy gay

Yeah I'm into the Latte, as long as its lo-fat ! No tub for me thanks. I'm thinking instead of a jog, we could maybe spend a bit of time in the gym, maybe bring Trinitypowder along, show him the best way to bulk up a bit so he can get to also spend some time on a sled with a bit of HP. A couple weeks of a good routine, I'll bet we can get em on a sled that he won't be limited to just "boondockin in the trees " anymore.
I'm rethinking the tub thing, maybe if you bring along a couple ofthose fine U.S.of A ladies, I could get into it a little. You gotta stay on your own side tho.

I bought an M7 and turboed it for $9200 and not only does it get better fuel mileage than the xp, it makes em look stupid at 2lbs of boost.

Thats reality :) Pretty sad huh? and I dont wrench .25% of what BRP riders do nor do I complain. 20k? I think not, I have yet to find a sled that will match it dollar for dollar. And its just a 700  and an 05', and im still on the same belt at 230hp at elevation 400 miles later........

And remember, were not talking stock for stock, your talking dollar for dollar, so dont spew your stock vs mod bullcrap with me :) the way it looks, even with buying race fuel my sled is cheaper to run than the new 800xp

ouch.......

I'm only in my IQ $10,000. Same weight as a XP, only 145 hp, oh and I almost forgot, the motor doesn't blow up. That last one is the best part. My belts only cost $62 and I'll only need one for the whole season. Plus, it doesn't ride like a battletank. BRP will be happy that you are so loyal. See avatar above.

where do you buy belts for $62 ???--what year IQ and how did you get it to 521# wet..we pay $165 for the dragon belts...just a couple questions..

BIS is the Big Iron Shootout. You keep telling me to bulk up to handle the HP that a real sled makes. I figured you're a "drag racer", big HP guy. I see from your Avatar you are a Harley guy. I'm a sport bike guy. Performance is everything to me. That's why the XP. I'm guessing you ride a 4-5 year old Polaris. Close?

Sorry it took me so long Wyo. It is the 06 race chassis. This sled was a better starting point for me than the regular RMK. I would like to have a 700 155 for a back up though.

Close, great sled, but no Poo for me. Also you being an around town riding, sport bike guy, I'm assuming you got a groovy, skin tight, color matched suit with a matching helmet for when you come across those photo ops eh. Or maybe you're more the sandals and sleeveless T shirt ridin kinda guy.
Sorta look like the Power Rangers my grandson used to play with.
Close ??

Its the best mountain sled on the market right now by far. I jump on the old chassis and can't wait to get back on the xp. Yeah its burned up a few belts and yes my hands were freezing for a month. YES that irritated me for sure. It was all worth it. It spanks m 1000's, m8's, dragons. Definately kills stock Yamaha's. The other manufactures rides are old news. I have heard that 2010 polaris is releasing a sled that is very similar to the stealth looking xp. Its about time. mmmmm What will doo have in 2010??? The only reasons I see that people ride other sleds besides the rev/xp are:
1) Loyalty to their fav. Manufacturer
2) They don't want to have a doo like their buddies.
3) Last but not least, people that do not have one, do not ride aggressive enough to care about the xp's abilities.

Too me power to weight with a rider forward motorcross stance is everything.
Way to go doo. Can't wait to see the 09!!!

Maybe one of these days the rest of the manufacturers will follow BRP's lead and make their bulkheads out of soda cans. There's nothing like replacing a bulkhead instead of a arms. We can only hope.

Not close. Full leathers, track days, canyon's and no around town crap like most Harley riders. I also desert race, Moto X, and have a XR650R street legal supermoto scooter for ripping around town scaring old ladies and Harley riders. I respect my elders Slick. So you are alright by me. That being said, I would LOVE to take you for a sled ride;) If you ride like me, I just might like ya! Don't assume to much. I never said i was an "around town rider" and if you've paid attetion, i generalize most Harley riders. I have yet to single you out as you have me. Cheers:beer;

I guess I have only had that problem once. 05 Rev you probably remember it from rev revival in sledheads. I was carving turns on teton pass and hit a buried rock while i was doing maybe 25mph. It took all the fun out of my day. So the nun was tweaked so the insurance co. totaled it and got a new 06. I was stoked not about the rock but getting a 06. I guess I am not really sure how any other manufacturers sleds would hold up any better. Since then I haven't had any trouble with the nun because I DIDN'T HIT ANY MORE ROCKS. Its pretty funny all the crap people talk about the rev/xp flying nun being like a soda can. I guess lack of things to trash on a doo. I try to stay away from hitting immovable objects.
I would rather drop a 40' cliff than run into a rock or tree. I haven't had any trouble with my 05,06,07, or my soda can 08. But hey thats just me.

People love to throw around the "12k" thingy. Did anybody really pay $12,000 for an XP? My 154X was $9,900. $150 for clutch parts. Total otd was $10,200. Did anybody get a Dragon 800 that cheap? I've eaten 2 belts and got 2 new ones(the new 377) for free. So i'm still at $10,200.
